Hi, I'm Lane
I'm a Father and Husband. I serve as an Army Veterinarian. I'm from Idaho. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am happily married with 5 boys. We enjoy spending time together (even when we are on each other's nerves) working on household projects, hauling kids to sports, school and church activies, enjoying the outdoors and relaxing. I like building things, hiking, rock climbing, biking, running, swimming and the occasional afternoon nap. I enjoy caring for animals and their owners. I am proud to serve with and support the members of the Armed Forces.
Why I am a Mormon
I grew up in a family that has many generations in the church. I was taught as a child and grew in knowledge and experience. I enjoyed the associations and scouting programs that the church offers the youth. I chose to serve a mission and was sent to Bahia, Brazil where I met wonderful people and discovered more about life and my commitment to my faith. I attended college where I met a wonderful girl who agreed to marry me and we started a journey together in the Boise Idaho temple. As the years have passed I have come to depend on the teachings and blessings that come from attendance and service in the church. One of the things that comforts me is the constancy of the church - regardless of the location in the world where I have attended. I have found support and a sense of family as we have moved from one location to another which strengthens my desire to participate and promote the values and teachings of Jesus Christ.
How I live my faith
I seek to live my faith in my daily actions and interactions. I try to patiently nurture my children as we teach them important principles and skills. I try to honor and support my wife as she cares for and teaches our family. We read and study the scriptures, have family prayers and have family home evening (Monday night family activities) as regularly as we can. I enjoy teaching a weekly Sunday Primary class to a group of 10 year olds. I strive to serve and provide support to the families I have been assigned to home teach. We attend our meetings weekly, avoid work or leisure activities on the Sabbath and keep a journal. I seek to learn and improve my knowledge and commitment to living as the Savior taught.
