Roxanne: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Roxanne

I have a great life. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My life revolves around my family. Although I graduated from college with a degree in Psychology, rather than pursuing a career, I have chosen to devote my time to raising my five children full-time. And that keeps a gal pretty busy! Along with all the laundry, homework, and soccer games, I enjoy reading, exercising, playing piano, bike-rides, and going on dates with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have learned that following the teachings of Jesus Christ leads to happiness and peace in life. I know, through study and prayer, that Jesus is the Savior of the world and that only through Him can we be saved. I believe with a surety that He is at the head of this church, so I have chosen to be a member of it. In addition, the gospel helps us understand the purpose of this life and that helps me to keep my priorities straight and to endure challenges with the right perspective.

Personal Stories

What are you doing to help strengthen your family and make it successful?

We spend a whole lot of time talking and doing things together! It rarely costs a lot of money and is as simple as playing games, taking a walk or bike-ride, or making treats together. Regular scripture reading also gives us the opportunity to talk about things that really matter. Each day also begins and ends with prayer. We, as parents, try to show a lot of love through words, physical affection, and service, and we encourage the kids to do the same. We don't want our family members ever to question if or how much they are loved.

How I live my faith

I try to devote much of my life to serving others. That includes first, my family, then my congregation, friends, neighbors, or anyone else I know of that needs a helping hand or smile. I also try to improve my own weaknesses to become more Christ-like with the hope that I may have a good influence on others.
