I was born in Mexico, I have two boys, being married for 11 years and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like being a father because I get to learn from my children and I get to teach them good things. My hobbies are fixing things. I like the challenge that I can fix it, no matter what it is. One of my favorite sports is boxing, but I like to see it live. I work for the public sector and I enjoy helping people saving in their utility bill. I love to enjoy all the natural views with lots of vegetation.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church when I was 19 yrs. old, at that time I was looking for a church because I had a pain in one of my lungs and the doctors didn't know what it was; I promised God if I would get better, I would go to a church. I started to go to a church because the doctors found the problem and I was well.

That same year the missionary visited our home and my dad did not let them in. Later that week, my dad asked one of my sister to call those sisters back. He told us that he had a dream and in that dream he dreamed that he was very hungry but not of food but of the word of God.

The missionary started to teach us about the plan of God and how we could be a happy eternal family. We believed everything they told us except that there were prophets today. The missionary asked us to pray, so we prayed, and prayed.

We were told that the current prophet was visiting the area and if we wanted to see him speak. So we went and we felt something so strong in that stadium when he came in and spoke to all of us. Our prayer was answered. Later that week we were all seven of us baptized. I have being very happy and blessed of being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How has attending Church services helped you?

It helps me to start the week right. Life is to crazy at time- work problems, family and I just need to regroup and focus on what's important like my family.

How I live my faith

I try to be involve as much as I can. I like to help others in many way. I served as a missionary in San Jose California, which I learned to apply faith and patience in my life. At church I help those who are visiting for the first time and are learning of our believes. Sometimes I teach at church and also I go with the missionary to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ at people's homes. I enjoy doing this because I like to meet new people and also I like to see their change as they practice the teaching of Jesus Christ.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Heaven is the place where God lives and the future home of those who do God’s will and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. The hope of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and the purpose of life on this earth is to teach us and prepare us that we, along with our families, might live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ eternally.

After we are resurrected we will be judged and rewarded for the things we have done in this life (see Revelation 20:12,13).

Jesus Christ taught His Apostles that in His Father’s house are “many mansions” (John 14:2). Our loving Heavenly Father is anxious to reward all of His children according to their obedience to His commandments and their willingness to follow the Savior.

Those who do these things and are worthy to return to the presence of God and Christ become “heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ” (Romans 8:17) of all that the Father has. They will return to live with Heavenly Father and with their families in His eternal glory.

Those who choose not to follow our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will receive a reward according to what they have done in this life, but they will not enjoy the glory of living in the presence of God.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

First, I wholeheartedly believe in the "Official Church Answer" to this question. Homosexual behavior is, as the scriptures clearly state, against God's law, just as fornication and adultery are against God's law. There are no exceptions, but there is always repentance.

God loves all of his children. Christ died to redeem all of God's children. To these statements there are also no exceptions. I am firmly conviced that whether a person experiences same gender attraction or not, he or she is still a child of God. God's love for us is constant, but that does not mean that He will always approve of our choices or our behavior.

Through the atonement of Christ, all of our hurts and pains, all of our sorrows and anguish, will be taken away. All of our sins will be forgiven on condition of repentance. All these are His. He paid the price for them, and we have no right to hold on to them.
