Hi, I'm Sandra Morrill Taylor
I'm a mother of three boys. I like music and math. I am a Mormon.
About Me
I grew up in Utah, California and Pennsylvania. I started as a music major in college, but ended up with a degree in Math and Physics. I enjoy helping students with math and love to sing in choirs. My husband and I have three boys who alternately drive me crazy and bring me great joy. Being a mom is probably the hardest thing I have ever done. You always want so much for your children to find happiness in this world and there are so many choices for them to make. I am grateful for a way to guide them to peace in this troubled world and for the peace in my life that comes form knowing God lives and is aware of me and all my weaknesses and loves me still.
Why I am a Mormon
I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was hard sometimes for me and my siblings as the only mormons at our high school, but I had good friends there who supported me. There have been many times in my life when I have felt alone and unimportant, but I have been blessed with a testimony on God's love for me personally. I was taught this when I was young, but I have come to know how real it is in MY life. It gets me through the tough times. I have learned that logic is just fine, but it will not bring the peace that comes from the Holy Ghost.
How I live my faith
My favorite jobs at church are working with the children. I have taught at all ages, but the dearest to me are the nursery and 3 year old class. I especially enjoy teaching music. I love the children's songs and the simple lessons of Christ that they teach and testimony they share of God's love for us. I help out with service projetcts for the local community and for overseas.
