Hi, I'm Cassie!
I'm a senior in college. I run cross country. I want to be an elementary school teacher. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am a college girl involved in many fun activities and loving them all! I am the captain of the girls cross country team, a resident advisor, and on the student executive council. I spend time voluntering for the local elementary school where I put into place a mentor (big brother/ big sister type) program. I love working with children!
Why I am a Mormon
You know those moments of utter happiness that you come across in your days, when you find out you passed a test that you thought you had for sure failed, or when you get a good spot to park in the Walmart parking lot, or simply when there is just enough milk left in the carton for your morning bowl of cereal- well those are some of the little ways that God shows his love and awareness for me each day. Those are the moments of pure happiness that I never want to end. That overwhelming feeling from the Holy Ghost when everything works out perfectly and all of your worries have gone away- imagine that for eternity, never ending and constant. Yes, sign me up for that please! That is the message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and that is why I am a Mormon. I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love ME. And all of their children here on this earth.
How I live my faith
I love going to the church every Monday night to play games and feel of the Spirit with friends! I also love attending church every Sunday, where I have the opportunity to teach a Sunday School class. It is amazing how much I learn from those in my class about the New Testament- our current course of study. I love the words of the Apostle Paul in 1Corinthians; "For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints" (1Cor. 14:33). It helps me to know what things are of God in my life and what things I should avoid because they are from the author of confusion.
