Terry: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Terry

I grew up in Indiana. I'm a husband, father, grandfather. I enjoy jazz music. I'm a bass player. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Indiana my whole life. My wife and I have a combined family of eight children, that keeps us very busy. I have worked in the automobile industry my whole adult life. Twenty plus years in collision-repair and sixteen years building GM trucks at the local assembly plant. I have loved music I think, forever. It's a passion that brings joy to my soul that can only be understood by other musicians. I enjoy people. Especially those older than myself. I enjoy hearing about their life experiences.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church when I was twenty-five years old. Being raised in another faith, has given me an appriciation for a faith in God and in Jesus Christ. But I never really felt my knowledge of spiritual things was where it could be or should be. Until I was taught the truths of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ by the fulltime missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Little by little I continued to learn and grow in understanding and knowledge of God my Heavenly Father and of His "Great Plan of Happiness" for me. I know that God lives, and that He loves me. That Jesus is the Christ, the Redeemer and Savior of mankind. And that I can return to be with them, with my family, if I will remain faithful to the end. I feel so blessed to have found this Church. And to know that we have a living Prophet and Apostles to guide us in these trying times.

How I live my faith

I have the great honor to serve with our fulltime missionaries and to teach in our class each Sunday for those who are visiting or investigating the church. This gives me an opportunity to share my feelings of the Restored Gospel. Every month, I also visit with families of our congregation that have be assigned to me to share a message of faith and encouragement. I gain a great love for these wonderful members and their families. I love studying the scriptures of the church. It strengthens my faith in Christ and His Gospel. I enjoy serving others. As I do, I know that I can make a difference in their life and in mine as we grow together.
