Harley.: convert, runner, sister, Mormon.

Hi, I'm Harley.

I'm a junior in high school, I run cross country and play basketball.. and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I joined the church when I was 13. I'm the only member of my family and I love the gospel! I live with members of the Church who are amazing and are basically my parents. I love to run, read, write, and do anything active.

Why I am a Mormon

My upbringing as a child is a major reason why I joined the church. My parents were divorced, and when I was 6 my brother passed away. I was really hard on my family and myself. My parents made not so great decisions and I knew that there was something out there in life that could make me happy. That thing is the Church. It has blessed my life in so many ways, and it has given me such a great understanding that God loves and has a plan for each of his children. I believe in the Church and I know that if we strive to do our best we will always be happy.

Personal Stories

Why do Mormons do family history or genealogy work?

We do family history for those who didn't get a chance to get baptized during their earth life. When my brother passed away I think the thing that led to the most confusion was that my family didn't know where he went. When I heard that the Church did baptisms for the dead it made me realize that Heavenly Father didn't forget about him and he really does have a plan for him. I was able to watch my brother's baptism get done last year, and it was such an amazing experience.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping the commandments that Heavenly Father gives me. I am an active member of my youth group. We meet every Thursday and we often do service projects.
