Hi, I'm Aleese
I am the youngest and only girl in my family. I am musically inclined. I love life. I’m a Mormon.
About Me
I am an aunt, sister, daughter, cousin, granddaughter, and friend. I LOVE singing and dancing. I am a member of a service-oriented show choir. My favorite sport to play is volleyball. I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family. I love laughing and having fun! I have three older over-protective brothers but I am glad that they are because it shows me that they care about me.
Why I am a Mormon
I have been a member all of my life. To be honest, I have had my doubts. To have those doubts was a miserable feeling and during that time period I felt confused. I often asked myself why I am here, was there really a God, and am I loved and wanted by him? Throughout my young teenage years I did not seek the answers so I didn’t get the answers.
I have always thought I’m a Mormon because my family is. I am just starting to go to Seminary. My teacher challenges my classmates and I to read scriptures and pray every day. I took that challenge and I have noticed a lot of changes in me, my daily life, and in my attitude. One evening, I felt the spirit so strongly, I had little thought s in my head saying that the Lord is real and that He loves me! I just think that is amazing. This wonderful and holy being loves me, a flawed young woman. I have learned, no matter what I do or say, God will ALWAYS love me. From that point on, I knew with all my heart that there is a God and that this church is true.
I testify that the prophets speak the truth and that there is a point to life. We have a loving God who lives in heaven. I am a child of God and so is everybody else. Nothing can change what I believe in because what I know is what I know.
How I live my faith
I live my Faith by going to church, choosing great and influential friends that want me to do my best, and serving others. In my home we read scriptures and pray daily. I am in the Young Women’s program in my church. This is for girls ages from 12 to 18. I learn a lot from my friends and leaders in this program. I also learn from little children. They are so innocent and God-like that they just really touch my heart with the light of Christ.
