Hi, I'm Mo Mo
I'm an athlete, an eagle scout, a nerd, and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I'm a college student who loves all sports. I played football, basketball, wrestling, track, baseball, soccer, tennis and a few others. I was pretty popular in high school, and generally got along with everybody. I was a go to guy for people who were going through problems and had alot of helpful things to say. I love music, movies, video games, and T.V. I've also been lucky enough to have been an extra in a few movies and T.V. shows. It is amazing to see the process behind making a movie, and then being able to see yourself on the big screen. I love meeting new people and becoming friends with them. I am a huge teaser, I love joking around with people. My life experiences have made it where i get along well with people. My family has come from nothing to where we are today, mainly by the sacrifices made by my father. In 2006 he died while serving in Afghanistan. My mother then took up both roles of mother and father and has done an incredible job. Without our faith, I am not sure whether we end up where we are today.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because of the strong spirit that comes with it. What I have learned from the gospel is in accordance with what people in society today hold as great values. I have never been led astray while I have lived righteously. A huge part of why I am a Mormon is because they teach where we are from, why we are here, and where we are going. It teaches that families can be together forever. What other religion can tell you this. My father died overseas in the military and I have lost a brother to disease, yet I do not feel like they are gone from me because I know we will be together again in the world to come. Nothing else could give me such comfort. Also one phrase from the Bible assures me of this church, and it says to the effect of God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Why would he go back on his word?
Personal Stories
How can your talents and gifts bless others?
Everybody has a special talent and gift. It was given to you so that you can share it with others. My gift is being able to relate to several people, empathize with them, give them words of encouragement, and being easy to get along with. I can make people feel welcome. I have charity in my heart, and I excel in sharing that with others. Most of the time I am not aware of it until someone comes up to me afterwards and tells me how I have helped them, but they don't understand that it helps me too. By giving of yourself, you help others in ways you will never know.
How I live my faith
I help the missionaries in my area find and teach people. I feel that having me with them will show that we are normal everyday people. Every member a missionary. I also participate in volunteer work around my city, not because of the church, but because of the joy I feel when I do so. I feel the most fulfilled when I am sharing my love with other people. That is the easiest way, for me, to show my faith in Jesus Christ. If he loved all of us enough to die for us, what small task is it for me to share my love for him by loving other people
