About Me

Hello everyone, I'm a Mormon just like you. If you aren't Mormon, welcome I love you.

The things I love to do and are intrested in doing is dancing and also doing acting, it's fun. I dance and listen to a lot of Michael Jackson songs, I'm well known at school for my dancing because I dance at every talent shows at my school called Taita College. My favourite movies is the Harry Potter series because they are awesome and they never leave out all the good stuff that are from the books.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I was born and raised in the gospel and ever since I was born I've been going to church with my family because my mum was also raised in the gospel and she was spritual even when she was a teenager. I'm a Mormon because I know that we don't smoke, drink, take drugs, watch pornography, no sex before marriage, we don't kill, comet adultary, and we also don't steal. I'd like to bear my testimony with you all, brothers and sisters, I know this church is true, I know Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that he translated The Book of Mormon, I know Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet of God on the earth today, I know the four books are true, and they are: The Holy Bible, The Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants and The Pearl of Great Price. I know if you read these books they can help you keep the commandments and help you gain more knowledge on what to expect and what it's about. I also know that The Book of Mormon is the word of God. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

In what ways have your prayers been answered?

My prayer has been answered when I lost my USB, but then my mum found it in then pocket of my pants after just putting the clothes out of the wash.

Why do Mormons do family history or genealogy work?

Mormon's do family hystory or genealogy work to know who your family members are and when you go to the temple, you can send a list of family members who you're gonna be baptising for.

Why do Mormons go on missions?

That's a very good question: Mormon's go on missions to preach the gospel in peoples houses by knocking on their doors and introducing themselves. They also go on missions to baptise people when they have learned much about the gospel.

How I live my faith

In my ward I've been participating in the youth since I was 12 and now I am old enough to be in YSA, I've been looking forward to being in YSA because it's always been my dream to hang out with the older kids and YSA looks more fun and organised than the youth in my ward because know one is organised in the youth. I might serve as an Elder because I haven't made up my mind if I'm gonna go on a mission yet, hopefully the decision I choose would be the right one. New Zealand also had their efy in Auckland, at last, in January 2011. I went there and made new friends with other Mormons around New Zealand and I reckon it's a very good experience.

Who are the Mormons?

The Mormons are people who don't do any bad things such as no fighting, no bullying, no smoking, no drinking, no taking drugs, no sex before marriage. The Mormons are also people who believe in The Book of Mormon and that The Book of Mormon is the word of God.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

As is recorded in Matthew 10:5, the Lord said to His Apostles "Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not..." Later the resurrected Lord told the same Apostles "...Ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." (Acts 1:8) This is not an example of any variableness or a shadow of turning (See James 1:17) but is ever more evidence of His wisdom and foreknowledge in executing His designs.
Some who wish to attack the Church think they find hypocrisy or guile in the fact that the Church did not allow men of African descent to hold the Priesthood until 1978. There is nothing contrary to the pattern of God in this. For decades and decades before the 2nd Official Declaration righteous men and women of African heritage were baptized into the Church and fold of God with the full promise and testimony that they would be denied no blessings in the worlds to come. Then, when the time was fully come, and as had been predicted by prophets previously, the Lord inspired His prophet to extend the full blessings of the Church in this life to all worthy members. This could well be one of the happiest days of this era.
Whether in this dispensation or any other anyone who is uncharitable to another due to their race is in direct defiance of the Gospel of Christ, who is Savior to "black and white, bond and free, male and female" (See the Book of Mormon, 2nd Nephi 26:33.)
