I live in Arizona. I'm a wife, mother, and dental hygienist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full-time wife and mother who loves the simple joys of organizing a closet, playing games with my family, trying out a new recipe, and curling up with a good book. I also work as a dental hygienist part-time. I get to treat and help patients and educate them about their oral health.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised a member of the LDS church all my life and was taught by amazing parents to have a strong devotion to Jesus Christ. But it wasn't until I was a teenager that I read the Book of Mormon cover to cover and learned for myself that the restored gospel is true. Through the power of the Holy Ghost, I learned that Jesus Christ was my Savior and Redeemer and that Joseph Smith was truly a prophet of God and devoted his life to returning the Savior's gospel to the earth again. It is this witness and answer to prayers that keeps me in this faith and gives me a sure & strong foundation in life.

What is hope and what do you hope for?

I believe that hope is never giving up on the good. It is having faith that Jesus Christ will come to our aid whenever we call on Him. Hope is knowing that our prayers will be answered and things will turn out for the best. It's also believing in happily ever afters. I try to have a constant hope for forgiveness, goodness and mercy. And the hope of a better life after this one.

How I live my faith

Today I try to live my devotion by being actively involved in attending church meetings, serving and visiting others in need, and working closely with the young children in our congregation by teaching them to sing praises to Jesus Christ. I also am strongly devoted to teaching my own family good habits so they can be happy in this life despite the challenges they may face.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

No, we are free to choose whichever political party we feel is best. However, we are encouraged to research political stances and issues to educate ourselves. We can then vote & support those whose agendas are closest to the teachings of God and keeping our country free and strong. We are also encouraged to be good citizens and uphold the laws of the land.

Members of the Church are encouraged to be actively involved in their communities. This involvement may even include political activity. The Church is made up members who hold differing political views, positions and opinions. While the Church will support any measure or position that will allow for the free practice of our religion, and the strengthening and supporting of families in general, it does not endorse any specific person involved in political activity, platform, or party.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

No there is no restriction. Heavenly Father made us all different but we are still brothers and sisters. We have a wonderful melting pot of races and colors. We only see our brothers and sisters.
