I live in Indiana. I am planning to run for president in 2032, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 16 year old sports nut. I love all things football and basketball. I live in Indiana and I am a sophmore on high school. I am on a trivia team at school in which competitions are aired on TV. When I graduate, I plan to go on a mission and then to Brigham Young University, and major in poltical science. I want to run for president and the soonest I can do that is 2032.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon becuase I figured out for myself that this church is true. My stake went on a Youth Conference to Palmyra, NY. On this trip, we visited the Sacred Grove. As I walked into that bueitfulplace, a feeling of peace came over me. I felt like I belonged there. It was a feeling unlike anything I had ever felt before. It was a realization that had a Heavenly Father, who loves me and looks out for me. I never want to do anything that would ruin that feeling that I still carry around with me today.

How does making right choices help us make more right choices?

I believe that making right choices now will help more righ choices in the future. I like to think of it like a snowball. The little snowball starts rolling and getting bigger and bigger. With each right choice we make, we start to make more right choices as our faith grows much like the snowball.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in a few different ways. I try to fulfull my callings in my little ward. I am the oldest of our Young Men's group, so I help the younger guys learn and plan activities. I am also on the Stake Youth commitee, which plans activities for the youth on a larger level.

What is a ward/stake/branch?

A branch is a small congregation that has to few people to fill all the needed positions to become a ward. The ward is a bigger congregation that operates with people that live within it's boundaries, branches have to bring people in to fill positions. Both are geographically sent up, and a part of a stake. A stake is a collection of wards and branches that operate for a specifc area. Like the Indianapolis Stake has many wards and branches in it from Indianapolis and the surrounding area.

To make the administration of this world-wide church possible, the church is organized into geographical regions and sub-regions. The most basic administrative unit is called the "ward". The wards in the church vary in size but are comprised of a geographical area with anywhere from 300 to 700 members. The ward is presided by a bishop. A group of five to twelve wards are combined to form a "stake". A stake is presided by a stake president.
In regions of the world where there is a lesser concentration of members, "branches" are formed. These branches are equivalent to wards but usually have less members. A branch is presided by a branch president.
This organization makes it possible for 14 million members to each have local leaders that can provide guidance, teaching, and administering of the sacred ordinances of the gospel

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

We certainly do not. As a Mormon I've constantly been taught about the importance of family and how to strengthen those bonds. My mother and father exemplify the ideal of loving parents and I am so grateful for that loving bond my 5 siblings and I share with our mom and dad. Our faith does not teach, condone, accept, or defend polygamy in any way.
