Kristin: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Kristin

I am a wife. I am a mother. I am a planner. I am a list maker. I am always up for a party, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a taxi driver, referee, nurse, librarian, housekeeper, chef, baker, comedian, entertainer, photographer, organizer, party planner, craft maker, handy woman, personal trainer, life coach, secretary, money manager, personal shopper, and a husband loving stay at home mom!

In my free time I...What free time?

Things I enjoy are, reading, journaling, talking, eating new things or at new places, making crafty things, making bows, taking things that aren't really anything and making them into something, saving money, spending money, traveling, spending time with family, laughing, drinking Diet Coke, eating ice cream or frozen yogart, swimming, listening, and serving...

Why I am a Mormon

I am a memember of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I KNOW my Savior and KNOW that this is HIS true church. Because of my Savior I have a direction and purpose not only for me but for my family too. I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon and apprecaite the daily guidance it can provide. I believe in Joseph Smith and in the Book of Mormon. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a living prophet. I know that when I keep the commandments and follow the words of the prophet My life goes more smoothly. I know that I receive blessings by being a faithful Mormon.

One of the things I love the most about our church is that we are sealed as a family in the Holy Temple and can live with our families for eternity, not just 'til death do us part.' I love my Husband and Children and cannot imagine life without them! I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to further our family in the afterlife.

I am not a perfect person. I make mistakes daily and I know that is ok. As long as I try to be the best person I can be, I know that my Savior Jesus Christ will help me with my shortcomings. I know that through the gift of the Holy Ghost, I can be guided to make good decisions. I will strive continually to be like my Savior and emulate his light.

Personal Stories

How has your knowledge of the Plan of Happiness changed/benefited your life?

By Understanding the plan of happiness, I am overwhelmed with the gratitude for Heavenly Father, and for his plan to let us live with our families forever! It's so calming to think that I will not loose my family with a death. I will be able to live with them forever!

How has the Holy Ghost helped you?

When my older children were 4 and almost 3 I was making eggs in the kitchen of our 2 story home.

We hadn't lived here for long, it was a rental.

It was early about 8 or so in the morning.

My son came running down stairs, ran out the back door, put his arms out and said I'll catch you.

I had been humming and going over all my list of to do's in my head and had barely caught the tale end of what he said.

An overwhelming feeling came over me to run! I left the eggs on the stove and ran upstairs.

As I entered my daughters bedroom she was standing on the window sill.

The screen had popped off and she had thrown her beloved blanket out and was going after it.

Perhaps it seemed fun to jump down to the roof below that slanted and looked like a slide.

My son had promised to catch her, but she would never have surrvived that fall, and he might not have surrvived her dropping on him either!

I was so thankful for the prompting I had to 'RUN!!'

Sometimes the promptings from the Holy Ghost come quietly and suttley.

It wasn't a quiet prompting that day, it screamed, over the humming, and lists, and cooking, and helped me save my baby girl!

I"m so glad I heard it!

Think about your everyday activities. What are things you act upon each day where you cannot see the end results? How does faith move you to action?

How I live my faith

I have served with the youth (12-18) in our church. I have served with the children (18 mon-12yrs) I have planned activities and events for the Women and for the whole Ward (Men Women and Children.) I have made countless meals for people who need them, I visit two women in their home every month to share a spiritual message and help them if they need it. I babysit others' children time after time. I have attended many meetings and kept track of attendance in the girls youth program and the womens programs. I volunteer when needed, I donate when needed. I try to give as much as I can in time or things. With each act of service or different area I serve in I learn something new. Countless children and adults alike have taught me many things and made me a better person. You never know what you will learn from an experince but I am happy to say, I can always find something good from even rotten experiences.
