I love my family. & I am a retired dog groomer as well as a returned missionary from the England Manchester mission :)

Why I am a Mormon

i did not grow up in the LDS church. I was adopted into it. (& tho both my parents were memebers) my mom had been baptised at age 8 my dad was baptised 3 yrs before i came into the world, but my dad had been raised non denomenational pentecostal. & Only was baptised LDS for my mother. She had a strong testimony of the church, & never waivered from it, but my dad did, & for that reason was adamant with her that we not be taught anything about so called "mormonism". I say "we" cuz together they had 3 kids. I have 1 older brother, & 1 younger brother. My church teaches strong family ties that can & do last for an eternity. Suffice it to say that the family that prays together stays together for an eternity!! I was raised to love the Lord, & pray & ask for his guidance. & because of him I am a mormon :)

I love the lord & his gospel. Without him & his gospel I wouldn't be who I am now :)

How I live my faith

Daily prayer & scripture study. I'm a visiting teacher & a primary worker :)

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Before I was baptized, a missionary told me that I could read the Book of Mormon and find out for myself if it was true. I liked that idea. I've always been a person who wanted to know the truth for myself. After the missionary had suggested I read it, I decided to try. It was a big step of faith to pick up a book and read it without knowing for sure. Over time, I developed a testimony that the Book of Mormon is true.

The same goes for knowing if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true Church of Christ once again established on this earth. A simple prayer to your Heavenly Father can open so many doors of truth.

The real way that I know it is true is how it has helped my life. Without the Church, I'd be lost. I am grateful for it, and for the knowledge I have that it is true.

Here is a simple step by step instruction on how to know Mormonism is true.

1. Meet with missionaries.
2. Pray to Heavenly Father with real intent and ask something like this, " I want to know if this is Your church, so is this Your church?".
3. READ THE BOOK OF MORMON! Ask God if it is true.
4. Look for an anwser from God. He speaks with us through our thoughts and feelings by the Holy Ghost. Ask the missionaries for more details.
5. Come to church to see for yourself.
6. Keep the commandments that the missionaries teach you.
7. Repeat until answer is received.

We believe in being 'anxiously engaged' in a good cause. I have enjoyed serving the people of Guatamala and Peru on serveral occasions, to help train dentists, provide dental work to people who have no access to it, and to deliver much needed humanitarian supplies to orphanages and churches. I have felt joy in serving my brothers and sisters in other lands. I hope to get a better handle on the Spanish language, and return again soon to Central or South America.
