Chat With a Mormon Online
I am 27 and have been with out a regular home since I was 17. Through my years of finding out who I am and the true strength that I have within, I found a love a photography and the passion given through a portrait of a newborn or the love shown each other just in the look of a couple celebrating their 75 anniversary. Photography allowed me to also see the real beauty that our Heavenly Father has given us here on earth. From this great knowledge I have found I am now on the last leg of a BA in business and have high hopes to have a fully functioning Photography business in the future. As part of this love of photography I love hiking and see the outdoors, I love walking the silent streets of the cites at night and showing the moods of each area of the globe that Heavenly Father has given.
I am a Mormon. I was baptized into the church at the age of 9. My mother, older brother and I are the first generation of members. I chose to become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 9, but it was not until years later at the age of 23 that I was converted into the Gospel of Christ. As most members I BELIEVED in Jesus, I loved the feeling and Idea of Christ as our Savior. At age 23 I finally KNEW that Jesus was real, I KNEW that Christ was MY Savior. I knew because I felt him every time I needed him. I Knew because the values of Christ, the gospel of Christ and the knowledge that I am a child of a Heavenly Father who loves me, no matter the trouble I've put my self in. He has a plan, a plan that includes me coming home and having an everlasting love for family, truth and righteousness. Heavenly Father is your father and mine. I know this because I have prayed. I have asked Father to guide me in this life and he does in the many avenues that are out there. I've not always known, from age 9 until age 23 I traveled on the path that much of the world is on. To survive. I Follow the Church of Jesus Christ because I believe, I Know and Love this gospel. It has helped me get through times in dealing with law enforcement, It kept me safe while a member of the Naval Hospital Corps, and I know there are so many questions our there about this church many that even I who has been a member since age 9 asked, about my church The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I prayed and got answers.I still have questions, but I know how to get answers and I am at piece. This gospel is the Gospel of Christ, and my only hope is if the question arises to you that you ask Heavenly Father because he is the only one that can tell you and help you in any aspect of your life. I know this because it has happened with me, as did it to a 14 year old boy in the 1800's and it can happen with you. I Believe, I Know, I am a Mormon.
The Restoration of the Gospel is a special thing in my life. I know it to be the bridge between this life and next. Its my road map to Heaven and where I will once again live with my family. The Restoration of the Gospel to me is a promise that through it all, the promise is kept that if we convert and keep the commandments of God we can endure and be received back home again. The Restoration started back when Joseph prayed for which church to join, he was told to join none for none had the FULL truth of the Everlasting Gospel of Jesus Christ and that if he were faithful and strong he would be a cornerstone in the foundation of the Restoring of this Gospel back on the earth. The Scriptures I can say that talk about this start are Acts3:19-21 where even Peter spoke of the Restoration of the Gospel. The Gospel of Everlasting life with our loved ones even after death. Or the Peace and similitude that we will gain once we have been found worth of being in Heavenly Fathers house by taking care of the house he gave us here on earth by not smoking, drinking, following the word of wisdom and plainly obeying the commandments till the end.
First of all one needs to know that I live my faith for me. I must keep the commandments of god to truly understand the meanings of principles and guides lines. That doesn't mean I'm perfect, just that its a work in progress for everyone. I live my faith by hopefully setting an example. I have worked with children from the ages of 3 to 12. I learned there that to live my faith the principle of being like a little child is so true. To be honest, true and obedient. That when life gives a bump in my road and I stumble that asking for help from either another person or from Heavenly Father is the best route. I also got the pleasure of teaching adults the principle of the gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I learned how much stronger I am and that I can grow even still. I keep my personal values open to others and am always open for questions. I love to tell others about the love I have found in my Heavenly Father and why I don't drink, or smoke. Why I give a 10th of my salary to my church and what its used for. I live my faith by entering the Temple and getting even close to our Heavenly Father and strive to become more worth to sit in front of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ when the time comes.
