Signe.: mom, adoption, Mormon.

Hi, I'm Signe.

I'm a mom to 4, a wife, a beginner runner and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My job right now is staying home with my kids. I love having fun with my family. I get so much joy watching the kids' eyes light up when they get balloons on their birthdays or a scary meal on Halloween. And since I love cooking and baking for them, I balance the desserts out by running with friends. I have found I have more patience and energy on the days I exercise, so it benefits everyone. Our family is also involved in a humanitarian project in Ethiopia. Our youngest came to us through international adoption from Ethiopia and our hearts have been connected to this beautiful country ever since. We have dreams of adopting again should circumstances allow.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, but there is still a necessary conversion. Kids can't lean on their parents' testimonies forever. My testimony started out as a teenager and through life events, big and small, has continued to strengthen. I have felt my Heavenly Father's hand many times and am aware and thankful He is keeping a watchful eye on me and my needs.

Personal Stories

How can we develop greater harmony in our homes?

We can develop harmony at home by setting the example of love and patience. Praying together, crying together, laughing together, being frustrated (and working through it) together, all build family unity. And when there is a sense of unity, the harmony follows. We are all working together to reach the same end goal, to return to our Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being a good example of a Christian to my children and anyone I come in contact with. The most important thing I can do is raise my children to be honest, true, chaste, benevolent, and virtuous. I believe we need to help others where and when we can and to reach out as Christ would.
