About Me

Life is about being Happy! When ever I find my self down, doubting, and unsure, I find my thoughts being focussed on my own desires. That's not terribly wrong, but I realize that we are here on earth to help make others happy. There is nothing better than making others laugh and be happy. Those times of laughter and joy get me through the mundane that is life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of love. I believe that heaven and earth were created by means of love. When one comes to the knowledge of a Heavenly father that really exists and loves me, trials, insecurity, doubt, are brushed aside and confidence is given. Hope comes, and then the future becomes less scary. When I came to realize that this love is given to all of gods children, I realize that my neighbor is more than just the a guy in the next house.

How I live my faith

Call it light or call it personality, but whatever you recognize it as, this is what I want others to remember me for. I feel like if I can help people be happy, they will feel good about themselves. Though I realize that I struggle like every body else in life, this happiness comes from God.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Its my opinion that above men, Heavenly Fathers daughters are the jewels of his crown. The priesthood is a responsibility, and a duty that is given to men. The priesthood is a calling that is given as a tool to serve others and help people to feel Gods power and love on the earth. One trait that I find in the majority of women that I meet is kindness, service, charity, and love. These traits that women naturally posses are the same traits that men learn through exercising the priesthood. The women in the LDS church provide extreme mounts of inspiration and direction to the men of the church by using these natural traits that they posses. I would say that more service is rendered on account of the women in our church than by the men.

Family is very important in the church for more reasons than can be explained here. Holding the priesthood is just one of these reasons. Husbands act and bless their family with their priesthood, but wives benefit and honor the priesthood through their husbands. It is a symbiotic relationship. As I have participated in the church in various activities I have come to understand my importance as a woman in the church. There cannot be one without the other.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

I personally enjoy The Bible as one of my favorite books. I know it is the word of The Lord. As I read the bible, I also tried to study where it came from. Before joining the church, I did believe that the bible was the word of God. But why? I believed in it before reading it... Well, the reason why I know, is because I ask God and He answered me. There is no other way. I wasn't there when it was translated, so how can I know? Some people just believe that it is true because everybody else says so. Heavenly Father can answer our prayers, why don't we ask Him?
