Hi i grew up in albuquerque nm and i'm a locksmith by trade and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a mormon for about 3 months and I love it ans i've noticed since finding the one true church my life has been blessed. me an my wife were ready to get divorced till she introduched me to the one true church since then we have gotten our marriage back on track and getting our faith back as well. We have four kids 12,4,2,1 two girls and two boys that have been baptised and blessed into the ward in the past two months. I was baptized on October 15, 2011 a week later my wife was baptised the a week after that our oldest daughter was baptised so the month of October was a good month for us.

Why I am a Mormon

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

I and my wife have noticed that since we started to pay our tith each week our financial hell has been less of a burden to bare because we know GOD is going to take care of us.

Tithing is paid in faith. I know these funds will not be misused. I pay tithing because it is a commandment, and because I love God and want to give Him back a small porion of what He has given me, to futher build up His church. These funds go to build and maintain church buildings and temples and other like expenses. Our clergy is not paid. There is no collection plate. We simply pay our tithing, our fast offerings, we share what we have gladly. This is God's way. For this is God's church.

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Mormon's are viewed as a cult by some because we do not adhere to the fundamental creeds established by the other Christian churches, such as the Nicene or Athanasian Creeds, and their view of the Godhead. Latter-day Saints are viewed by other Christians just like the early Christians were viewed by the Jews and Romans of the time, which was as a cult, because they strayed from what seemed to them orthodox Judaism. Much like the Pharisees and Sadducees, who viewed orthodoxy through the lens of the rules laid out in the rabbinical law and their interpretation of the Law of Moses, the Christians of today view orthodoxy through the lens of the creeds that were established hundreds of years after the death of Christ under the opinion and counsels of men.
