I'm Japanese but I'm Hawaiian adopted.
Why I am a Mormon
I was studying English by myself because I wanted to learn more Hawaiian culture. I couldn't spend money to study English because I used money for visiting Hawaii every year but always looking for the opportunity to study English with cheap tuition then finaly found LDS free English class.
I was taking the class twice a week and getting conversation skill and many friends who is English speaker.
Missionaries never asked me to listen from them about gospel which is little weird as a missionary but we have really good friendship always.
Finaly two braved sisters asked me to listen their lesson, I gladly took their lesson.
I went to Hawaii with my aunt for her retirement vacation after I took some lessons fron sister missionaries then had an opportunity to visit Hawaii Laie temple visitor's center.
I realized that God is there for me and loves me and waiting to hold me again when I visit the visitor's center.
That feeling was very strong and getting stronger every day so I decided to get baptize. I was not ready for baptize for about half year but was going to church every Sunday and keeping study Gospel with missionaries then finally got baptize on July 20 1998 by Elder from Hawaii.
