Natasha: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Natasha

I'm a blogger. I'm a dreamer. I'm young at heart and yes, I'm a Mormon. :)

About Me

Hi, I'm 22 years old, born and raised in England.
I Love to bake, craft, sew, make music, draw, read, write, take care of my loved ones, learn, laugh at my own jokes and read my scriptures. (and then blog about it.) I'm a huge disney fan and lover of quite a few things nerdy. I'll always be young at heart, it's just who I am.
I believe it's the little things in life that sometimes hold the biggest blessings and can be the most important. Life is so much better when you look for the beauty in even the smallest blessings.
My biggest hope is to have my own eternal family one day. I Love children and I come from a family that fosters, taking care of children in need of a family. I can't wait to have my own children someday, but for now I love that I have the opportunity every day to bring happiness to those brought to our home and all of my loved ones, it is such a blessing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because this church makes incredible sense and has helped me through times of heart ache and struggle. I grew up with the teachings of the Gospel and eventually my own testimony flourished through reading the scriptures and praying with faith for an answer to know in my heart whether the church was true.
To me, this Gospel is everything and as my life progresses, my heart only fills more and more with appreciation and love for it being a part of my life.
I believe Joseph Smith was a true prophet and his courage and strength is a huge influence in my life. I am so grateful for all he did and persevered so the truth could be restored in these latter-days. He is a great example to me, a reminder to stay strong, a reminder that through being righteous life will never be easy, but if we stand strong and don't give up, no matter the opposition we face, with the Lord on our side, he will bring us through to overcome and bless us incredibly.
I know Jesus is the Christ and I'm so grateful for his atoning sacrifice, so we could be forgiven for our sins and our hearts be healed. He is my brother and my Saviour. I Love him and I know that he loves each and every one of us with an infinite love, as does our Father in Heaven. I'm a Mormon, because I feel and remember that love even through times of struggle and I just can't deny the blessings that knowing this truth brings.

Personal Stories

How does making right choices help us make more right choices?

If there is one thing I have learnt about this life, it is that making the right choices is never easy, but always for the better. The church teaches us to be righteous with all things in our lives, to 'Choose the right.' When faced with difficult decisions, we pray for guidance from the Holy Ghost, a gift given to us after baptism. We're taught to keep an eternal perspective and always strive to be worthy and keep our baptismal covenants. We know that with making right choices, we will face opposition, (2 Nephi Chapter 2) but when we keep to the right path and endure, staying strong in those right choices, we will be eternally blessed and get to where we need to be, back with our Heavenly Father.
Having that knowledge and eternal perspective helps us to exercise our agency, in keeping on making the right choices on a daily basis, as well as the blessings received when we do so.

What is hope and what do you hope for?

Hope is a huge part of Faith. In the Book of Mormon, book of Alma, Chapter 32, Faith is described as 'not to have a perfect knowledge of things' but to 'hope for things which are not seen, which are true.' I believe that hope and faith is something in our hearts that makes us live and want to work for better, giving us the strength to do so. As a latter-day Saint, I have many hopes for things that I know will bring eternal joy. I hope for an eternal marriage and to have my own eternal family. To be a supportive wife and a good Mother. I hope that I can make the right choices in life and follow the promptings from the holy spirit. I hope to be a better person, be worthy, be stronger in my weaknesses and be more Christlike and I hope to make it back to my Heavenly Father. With hope and faith in these things, I know that I'll try my best to reach for these goals and to achieve them.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by following the teachings of the Gospel as best I can, repenting appropriately when I go wrong and trying my best to improve and strive to be better, becoming more like the Saviour who is my main example.
I make it a goal to stay active in church by attending when I am able to and trying to keep the spirit with me always by reading my scriptures and praying to my Father in Heaven daily.
I try my best to love and serve others and be a help to those in need, whether it be a friend, family or a stranger.
I pray for guidance and direction in my life and really try to follow what I feel through the Holy Spirit.
Overall, I try my best to be the person I know my Heavenly Father needs me and wants me to be.
