Carlie: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Carlie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a sister, a daughter, a wife, and a mother to a darling two year old girl. I'm also expecting baby number two! I studied English/editing at Brigham Young University. I enjoy playing the piano, playing tennis, going on walks, cooking, baking, doing crafts, watching movies, blogging, and learning new things! I love Disneyland and can't wait to take my little girl there someday!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church. My parents were and are an example of faith in my life. I'm thankful for their encouragement and guidance in my youth, as I was able to slowly gain my own testimony of my Savior and of His Gospel. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the one true church on the earth today. It has been restored through the prophet Joseph Smith, who saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. The keys of the priesthood and all the ordinances of the ancient Church have been fully restored. We have a prophet that leads and guides the Church today, who is the mouthpiece of the Lord. He is Thomas S. Monson. I know that Jesus Christ lived and walked upon the earth, that He suffered for every one of us in Gethsemane--He took upon Himself the sins, the heartaches, the pain, the suffering, the burdens that we all face in this life, and He gave His life on the cross. He rose the third day, completing our Heavenly Father's plan. That beautiful plan is that if we keep His commandments and endure to the end during this life, we can live again in His presence forever. I know that families can live together forever because of this plan and the sealing power found only in temple. I know that anyone can learn the truthfulness of this gospel by reading the Book of Mormon, which is another testament of Jesus Christ and goes hand in hand with the Bible, and then pray to God, asking if it is true. You will receive the same answer that I have received--that it is. And you will feel the joy that I feel.

How I live my faith

I love music, and I have been able to play the piano in various callings throughout my life. I have played the organ, played for the ward choir, played in the primary, and I have also had the opportunity of working with the youth of the church, teaching the 16-18 year old girls and planning activities with them. I think they teach me more than I teach them!
