I live in Idaho. The gospel is the best thing that I know. I am the oldest of four girls. Music is my passion. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I play the clarinet. I have a passion for music. I love the outdoors. My dad is my best friend in the whole world. I would rather work outside with my dad than clean the house. I love my family very much. Nature is beautiful and has a very special place in my heart. I love to smile and laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to be. I go to church because I want to. I go to Seminary and love every minute of it. The gospel is such a huge part of my life and I would be empty without it. I know theat Jesus Christ loves me and paid for all of my sins. I know that Heavenly Father is aware of my pains and sorrrows. I believe that by following all the teachings of the gospel I can find true happiness. I know that the prophet and apostales receive revelation for me and other members of the church. I love Jesus Christ and will always try to live up to his standards. God loved me so much that he gave his only begotten son for me. I cannot imagine what kind of suffering he endured for me. I am grateful for all I have.

How I live my faith

I read my scriptures every night before I go to bed. I say personal prayers and pour out my heart to a loving heavenly father. I go to church every Sunday. I go to Mutual all the time. I attend Seminary every other day except for weekends. I always have a hymn running through my head and if I have bad thoughts I think of my favorite primary songs. I love The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Temples are used to make families forever. We believe that temples are sacred and some people don't have the same respect for them as us. That is why only members of the church are allowed inside.

A temple is a house of the Lord, a place where we may worship our Heavenly Father and feel of His presence. It is a sacred place where no unclean thing can enter. Because of the importance and sacredness of the temple, a temple recommend is required and is received based on individual worthiness within the church in order to enter its holy walls.

The temple is where I go to find answers, to find peace, and to feel the Spirit. We are encouraged to go as often as possible and to attend seeking Spiritual guidance. Inside we perform sacred ordinances for ourselves and more often for others, those who are deceased. God requires that all to make covenants in order to return to His presence and many died without the opportunity to make these covenants. In the temple we perform the ordinances for them in their name giving them the opportunity to reject or accept the ordinance and thus enter into the presence of the Father. The temple is a very sacred and holy place.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Mormons see Joseph Smith in the same way Jews see Moses - while we respect and honor their lives and their contributions, we understand that they are real people, worthy of our veneration but not our worship. We understand that they were selected for important duties that God called them to complete and we respect the work that they performed. Joseph does occupy a unique place in Mormon theology because so many doctrines of the re-established church can be traced to revelations that were given to him. The scriptures tell that it is "by their fruits" that an individual will be able to determine if someone is acting on God's behalf, and this is one of the central messages of the re-established church, we invite all men everywhere to read and pray about the Book of Mormon since it a tangible fruit of the prophet Joseph Smith's calling as a prophet and restorer of Christ's church. It is my witness that if you do so you will know that the book is true, Joseph is a prophet and the church he founded is true.
