Grew up in California for the first 18 years of my life. Grew up a Mormon. Have 2 brothers and a sister. Went to BYU-Hawaii and met many great people there and it only increased my testimony of the gospel and Jesus Christ while being there. Enjoy fixing bikes for people and that's what I do for my job. Race mountain bikes in California. Currently a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Putting aside two years of my life to help the Lord continue on with his work is a great opportunity. Went to Brigham Young University-Hawaii for a year, before my mission and plan on going back after my mission.
I've always been a Mormon and I always will be. All my life I lived off my parents and others testimony's to believe it was true. Then I went to college and didn't have that support so I took Moroni's challenge and read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true and I got my answer. Since then my faith has only improved and I'm thankful for it in my life. I know the gospel and the standards we live by help us and protect us in all we do and I wouldn't live my life any other way. I know the gospel has blessed my family and I'm grateful for that. Reading the Book of Mormon that first time was the best thing I could have done for my life and I'm very glad I did! Since then I still read from the Book of Mormon every day and learn more and more.
I love praying! I pray anytime I have a problem during the day, as well as at every meal, at night and in the morning. I also always have a prayer in my heart as the scriptures talk about, which helps me always stay close to Christ. Praying helps me when times get tough, especially if I'm having a bad day. I just say a prayer and I feel a warm feeling come inside of me that helps comfort me.
As the scriptures say you're supposed to share your talents with everyone. God gave us our talents and gifts for that reason, to bless other peoples and our own lives. I know my talent of bicycle repair helps people everyday. Many people don't have enough money for a car so they ride a bike. I have no problem at all stopping on the side of the road to help someone fix their bike and help them get on their way again. Another gift that I have is being able to make other cheerful and happy in their lives. My day is not complete without making either myself and everyone else I meet happy!
I've been called as a Nursery Leader, and to be in Primary before my mission and was able to learn so much through the simple small things that the children know and are taught. I've served in a lot of leadership positions while I was in the young men group at our church. They've all been a great experiences to have and have helped me grow a lot! Currently I'm serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Nebraska Omaha Mission. Serving the Lord and other people every day!
