Hi, I'm Sunshine
I love health and fitness. I love music and dancing. I love taking care of my husband and 4 fun kids. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am a mother of 4 crazy kids. I was born in Mexico, but at 5 years old my father had the opportunity to work in the USA, which is where I grew up. I still visited and lived in Mexico after we moved to the USA and I love Mexican culture and Mexican food. I am a wife and a mother of 4 fun and crazy kids. I love taking care of them and rooting for them at their various events. I love music, dancing, food and health. I am a personal trainer and a group exercise instructor. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and believe in bettering myself each day.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know that my Heavenly Father loves all of His children and has provided a way for us to know how to return to him. I know that He has restored the fulness of the gospel along with the proper priesthood authority so that we can fulfill the covenants and ordinances He has for us so that we may return to live with him someday. I know that Jesus Christ is the redeemer of the world and that through His atonement, we can repent and receive the fullness of promised blessings. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel, as Jesus established when He was on the Earth. And I know that the evidence can be found in the Book of Mormon, which I have read and prayed about and KNOW is true... and you can too.
Personal Stories
Which of the Savior’s teachings have influenced you in your life?
The atonement is such a miraculous gift. A gift that you don't fully appreciate until you use it. Through my mistakes in life, I have sometimes felt that I have done something bad, therefore I am a bad person. I have felt embarrassed and too shameful to repent. I have felt that I was unworthy of repentance; that it was too hard. But the hard thing to do is usually the most rewarding. And it really is... repentance might seem hard and feel hard but the joy, peace and blessings you receive are greater than I ever imagined. I am still far from perfect but I have learned that it is never too bad, too hard or too late to pray, ask for forgiveness and turn to the Lord's path. That is where true happiness, peace, joy and strength come from.
How I live my faith
I am happy to live my faith by teaching my children about Heavenly Father's plan of happiness for us. I also get to teach the children at church about Jesus Christ and how he loves and cares for us and wants the best for us. I also get to visit other women in our congregation to help support and uplift each other as we all strive to better ourselves, to live the gospel and keep the commandments. Living my faith is a joy and blessing.
