I'm a Mormon. I lived in Michigan for 30+ years. I always wanted to live in a warmer climate. My home is now in Georgia.

About Me

Although, I spent most of my life working for other businesses and enjoying it, I wanted more for my family. So, I started my own business. I failed, due to financial miscalculations and human error. But, I learned from my mistakes. Since then I have created two additional businesses, and have achieved financial independence.

Why I am a Mormon

Before I became a Mormon I did not have a relationship with God; however I knew there was a God out there somewhere. One day I was in a spot and needed more help then any person on Earth could give. For the first time in my life I prayed for help and help came. I discovered more truth about God than I had ever known.

How I live my faith

I pray often to have the strength to be fair with everyone I meet.

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

No. Mormons do NOT practice polygamy. There are many people outside the Church that say otherwise, but that doesn't change the truth of the matter.

There is nobody living on this earth right now who can truly claim to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who practices polygamy. It is against the law, both of the land and of the Church. We do not approve of such things.

There are some groups of people who do practice this and also claim to be Mormons, but I assure you that they are not in any way affiliated with this Church.

The Church has not practiced polygamy since 1890. Any member found to be practicing plural marriage is excommunicated from the Church. We are not affiliated with any group currently practicing polygamy.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No. "Worship" is reserved for members of the Godhead: Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. Worship means giving absolute devotion, adoration, and submission to someone, and only God is worthy of receiving true worship. God said "Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:3)" So what do we think about Joseph Smith? He was a mortal man called by God to serve as a prophet, and he was a great prophet. We love Joseph Smith, we study his teachings, and we are grateful for the work he did. But we do not worship him any more than we worship Moses, Elijah, Isaiah, Peter, or any other prophet. We worship God.
