Darwin Weech: Mormon.

Hi I'm Darwin Weech

About Me

I am married and have five children. Three of our children are married and have given us seven grandkids. We love to visit them. For 23 years, I was a CPA in public accounting. Then I decided to make a change. Now, I work as the controller for a small community college. Last year, I decided to lose some weight and be more active. I love to hike in the mountain canyons of southern Arizona. We are eating more healthy and doing fun things. A few weeks ago, we climbed Camelback Mountain in Phoenix.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents taught me about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They showed me how to work hard and be honest. They gave me a love of the scriptures. They warned me of the dangers of alcohol and tobacco. They were faithful to the end. What a difference their example made in my life. We have tried to raise our children along the same lines. Our greatest joy is seeing them be happy and have children of their own. We live in a world that is half night and half day. While there is much evil in the world, there is also much that is good and worthwhile. I have become convinced that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the restored Church of Jesus Christ. There are many who are willing to teach the philosophies of men, mixed with scripture. I believe this is why there are so many different churches on the earth today. Because Heavenly Father loves us, and because He does not change, He has restored his pure Church to the earth in our day. He has again called prophets and apostles to give us light in this darkening world.

How I live my faith

Each day is a challenge for me. Daily scripture study and prayer help me to survive. Attending worship meetings on Sunday with others who believe encourages me. Most in our congregation are given opportunities to help. My assignment is to be a missionary. I get to help teach those who are interested in the Church. I love to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love to see the positive changes in the lives of those who are taught. I can see that the Lord is active in our personal lives.
