Hi, I'm Herberlene
I'm the youngest of six! I am a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter. I've been a member of the church all my life and love it!
About Me
I am 22 years old! I have a wonderful family of three older brothers and two older sisters. They have blessed me with beautful healthy nephews and neices, altogether there are 15.
Just this past year the Lord has blessed my husband and I with a strong, handsome baby boy. It has been an adventure to see him come into our lives and change it for the good.
Rightnow my husband and I are part time college students and my husband works to support our growing family.
We look forward to our future together and accept the blessings that the Lord has in store for us!
Why I am a Mormon
I have been a mormon all my life. My grandparents were LDS members and so both my parents were raised in the church. Thus, my siblings and I grew up with knowledge of the gospel and the church. When I met my husband he was not a member of the church and had no intentions of becoming a member. However, over the years he investigated the gospel and had a change of heart. One week after we got married he was baptised and confirmed a member. This is just one example of many that I know Heavenly Father loves his children. The Lord works in many ways and answer prayers in his time. In my life I have witness personal struggles that turned into miracles. I have a strong, growing testimony of the gospel. I know that my savior Jesus Christ lives and he atoned for our sins. I know my Heavenly Father loves me and my family. Even in times of sadness and sorrow, trials and challenages, I know that my Heavenly Father is with me and has not forgotten me. The blessings that have been bestowed upon me so far in my life have strengthened my faith and testimony. And I write these things in the name of thy son Jesus Christ Amen.
Personal Stories
How does making right choices help us make more right choices?
Sometimes, making the right choices aren't always easy. However, with the Lords help and prayer, we can overcome all obstacles. As you continue to choose the right and make it apart of your everyday life, it will become a habit and it will just happen naturally.
In what ways have your prayers been answered?
When my husband and I found out we were having a child we were both unemployed at the time. It was hard to be happy about our child coming into this world with parents struggling as is. We knew right then and there that we had to make serious changes starting with prayer. Through prayer, my Heavenly Father answered both of our prayers with jobs. Now we are able to support ourselves as well as our son.
How I live my faith
A group of women including myself get together once a month to plan events or meetings for church events or gatherings. We help members who are in need of help and even non-members. Outside of church activites I try to lend a hand to my friends and neighbors if they need help.
