Why I am a Mormon
I was born in the church, so I was told it was true. My conversion story is pretty simple. One day I woke up with a terrible thought; if this church was not true, my entire life and the way I lived it was fake, a lie. So, I followed one of the ancient prophets words in the book of Mormon. Moroni 10;3 and 4
3 Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how amerciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and bponder it in your chearts.
4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would aask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not btrue; and if ye shall ask with a csincere heart, with dreal intent, having efaith in Christ, he will fmanifest the gtruth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
So, I went and prayed and asked god to tell me if it were true or not. And after a few minutes I heard : you know its true. And I felt peace and started crying for joy. I know the book of Mormon is true. And if it is true, Joseph Smith was a prophet, and the church is true. All the pieces fit together. I know this is true with all the molecules in my body. In the name of Jesus Christ amen.
Personal Stories
Why do Mormons do family history or genealogy work?
we do family history because of 2 reasons (that i know of) first is for baptisms for the dead. we thake the record of one of our family members, and we perform temple ordinances. second, it is a blessing to know who went through what to get you to where you are now. hundreds of people influenced you.
How I live my faith
I go to seminary, church and mutual( mutual is like youth group. It’s a youth activity every Wednesday) I live the 10 commandments, read my scriptures and listen to uplifting music. I treat all equally, I am nice to everybody. I repent a lot (just cuz im Mormon/ lds doesn’t mean I’m perfect) I take the sacrament every Sunday, and go to the temple (Mormon castle, not really) as often as I can.
