Megan: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Megan

I’m wife, homemaker, equestrian, photographer, knitter and I’m a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah the daughter of two amazing school teachers and the younger of two siblings. My youth was spent observing the world from the back of my beloved horse. I enjoyed participating in drama during high school and college. It wasn’t until after college that I discovered my talent for photography and a passion for knitting. One thing I love about photography is that it allows me the opportunity to appreciate my Heavenly Fathers creations and experience the world around me from a new perspective. I am passionate about knitting because I find great satisfaction when I have completed a project. I have always loved animals large and small (excluding spiders and scorpions!) Animals have, and continue to, play an important role in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but was inactive until two years ago when my husband became gravely ill and was hospitalized. Faced with the possibility of losing him, I began to closely examine my life. I was unhappy with the person I was, the choices I had made, the loneliness I felt, and my constant struggle with depression. I knew that something needed to change but I was unsure how and if I could do it. I know that it was through divine inspiration that that week I got a call from my bishop inviting me to come and visit with him. With the loving support from my family, my bishop, and my ward I was able to begin the process of returning to the gospel. I know that my Savior Jesus Christ atoned for my sins and made it possible that my wounds could be healed. I have a testimony of the healing balm of the atonement and know that Jesus is the Christ, the savior of the world. I know that he loves me and knows me personally. I have a testimony of the gospel and I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it saved my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith a moment at a time. I strive to approach every moment of every day in a way that will be pleasing to my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. I actively participate in my ward community and enjoy my callings in which I get to organize our monthly ward newsletter. I also am blessed to be able to teach the youth. I love sharing with them as they grow in faith.
