I am a massage therapist, Mother of two, and am married to an amazing man. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a wonderful Husband and we have two beautiful daughters who we love and cherish. My Husband is finishing his last semester of school and will soon be a Mechanical Engineer. We love to ride bikes, camp, go on hikes, play at the park and anything else that is outdoors. The Lord has blessed me to be able to stay home and be a full time Homemaker. I love that I get to stay home and raise my two girls. I play the piano a little and love good uplifting music. I got a degree in Massage Therapy which is mostly used on friends and family but right now I mostly am a Mom. I love sports. In High School I played volleyball, basketball, and softball but I will pretty much play anything anyone asks me to play.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know in my heart that this is the Lord's true church here upon the Earth today. I feel peace from knowing that my family will be sealed together eternally as we live up to our covenants. This is the only church where the Priesthood has been restored to the Earth and I'm grateful to have a Husband who holds that Priesthood. I feel that it is the small things such as reading my scriptures, serving others, paying tithing, going to church, praying daily that have helped me gain a true testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. My Grandma passed away not too long ago when I was pregnant with my 2nd daughter. With experiencing a death of a loved one and bringing a new baby into the world within one month I can say that I truly believe we were with Heavenly Father before we came to this Earth and that when we die our spirits can enter into the presence of the Lord, and one day we will be resurrected.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by being the type of person I hope Jesus Christ would want me to be. I just recently served as the primary chorister in my ward. I would teach the children songs about Jesus Christ and about keeping the commandments. A few of my favorite songs are "I am a Child of God", "I'm Trying to Be like Jesus", and "I Feel My Saviors Love." The words to the song "I'm Trying to Be like Jesus" explain why I am who I am and why I do the things I do. The first verse goes; " I'm trying to be like Jesus; I'm following in his ways. I'm trying to love as He did in all that I do and say. At times I am tempted to make a wrong choice, but I try to listen as the still small voice whispers love one another as Jesus loves you. Try to show kindness in all that you do. Be gentle and loving in deed and in thought, for these are the things Jesus taught." I know as we follow Christ's example one day we can and will be like him.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

One of our articles of faith states that We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. We also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. The Bible testifies of Jesus Christ and we believe that it contains the work of Christ from the time of Adam until the death of the Apostles. We believe that we still can receive inspirations for our day like they did in the Bible. We love the Bible and cherish what it teaches.

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

No. Mormons do NOT practice polygamy. There are many people outside the Church that say otherwise, but that doesn't change the truth of the matter.

There is nobody living on this earth right now who can truly claim to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who practices polygamy. It is against the law, both of the land and of the Church. We do not approve of such things.

There are some groups of people who do practice this and also claim to be Mormons, but I assure you that they are not in any way affiliated with this Church.
