Harold: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Harold

I'm a Mormon; from a young age my parents taught me the importance of family, honest hard work and responsibility.

About Me

I am a huge Yankees fan. Grew up playing baseball in Puerto Rico, where I had the opportunity to play semi pro. I now have a family of my own with 4 kids and a loving wife. It brings me great joy to spend time with them and see what true love and happiness is all about. I can see our Hevenlly Father's love in everything they do.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because through the teachings I have found myself. I am a devoted father that lives for my kids. Have a very close relationship with my siblings and parents. As I grew up I always questioned what happens to each one of us when we die. I could never understand how we could be placed on this earth and get to love our wife, kids, parents and siblings so much and have that all end when we die. It just did not seem fair. Through the Gospel of JesusChrist I have learned that families can be together forever and that our Heavenlly Father loves us and wants us to have joy. That families are esscential in his plan of happiness and only with them through the atonement of Christ can we return to His presence. I am greatful to have been baptized in this church, to have learned this great doctrine and understand that by following the commandments and being faithful I can be with my family and my Heavenlly Father for Eternity.

Personal Stories

Please share your feelings/testimony of the Restoration of the Gospel.

I know that the true church of God has been restored in these latter days and that Jesus loves us and He directs our church through a living Profet and 12 apostles. That the Book of Mormon is another testament of His divinity and proof of His love for all man kind. With no exceptions He wants us all to have the opportunity to be saved through our faithfulness and His atoning sacrafice. With this Gospel I have become a better person, father, brother, husband, son and friend because through my imperfections I try each day to live my life closer to my Savior's example.

How I live my faith

I have been greatly blessed to have been called to serve in our church as a Branch President for the past 4 years. A branch President in our church is responsable for the spiritual growth of each our the members in a geographic area. I truly enjoy having the opportunity each and every day to serve others and feel through my service the love of Christ. I am also specially blessed to have the opportunity to work with our youth (young men and women from the ages of 12-18). Besides Sundays we meet with these youth once a week and have special activities where we have the opportunity to teach them gospel principals, but at the same time teach them how to believe in themselves knowing that they are a special sons and daughters of our Heavenlly Father. In these hard times we live in it is specially important for these youth to know how much they are loved. Having a strong foundation will help them deal with the trials that will come and be better men, women, husband and wives in the future.
