Hi, I'm Dan Morgan

I grew up and live in Southern California. I enjoy being involved in my city. I serve as the elected City Treasurer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the Father of 5 children. I love my wife and family. I am a manager for the Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company. I serve in an elected position as City Treasurer. I teach part-time for the University of La Verne and the University of California at Riverside, extension program. I teach in my church as Gospel Doctrine teacher. As you can see, I enjoy teaching. I enjoy nature and love to go hiking. I also enjoy walking, biking and swimming.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church which is named The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have studied the scriptures and prayed to know the truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of all mankind. When Jesus lived on the earth he established his Church and gave us his commandments. He established his Church on the foundation of apostles and prophets. Following his crucifixion on the cross, his chosen leadership of apostles were killed in the years that followed. Because of this, a restoration of the fullness of the Gospel needed to take place. In 1830, the Church of Jesus Christ was reestablished on the earth.

How I live my faith

I attend Sunday services each week. I enjoy receiving Gospel lessons at Church that strengthen my life and help me to do my best. I serve as a home teacher where I get to visit the homes of a couple of members of the Church, strengthening them as best I can. I serve on our Public affairs committee, which allows me to organize an annual service day to our community. I serve my community as the elected City Treasurer. I serve in our Redland's Temple each Saturday morning where I get to perform sacred ordinances. I love the truths I have found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They are true, beautiful and eternal. I love our Savior, Jesus Christ and what he has done for each of us through his atonement and resurrection.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

The Book of Mormon is a 2nd witness of Jesus Christ. It tells of a people, led by God, that journeyed from Jerusalem to the Americas. The book tells of Christ's visit to the Americas, following his crucifixion. I testify that the Book is Mormon is the word of God.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?
