Hi, I'm Joe
I've always had Christ in my life but truly believed I have been missing something more, I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I'm a father.
I'm a husband.
I'm a son and a brother.
I'm an uncle.
I'm a cousin.
I'm a nephew and a grandson.
I'm a student.
I'm a teacher.
I'm a coach and a motivator.
Above all...
I am loved by our Heavenly Father, so therefor I matter.
Why I am a Mormon
Trust me I thought I knew what Mormons believed when my wife and I were first introduced to the church. I was even anxious to have the conversation with the young couple about to explain to us just the inter workings of their beliefs. Being as intelligent as I am and not one to back down from the explanation of lies, I encouraged the conversation as my wife no doubt feared such a meeting.
To much of my surprise I found out that Mormons not only believe the same thing I do, they practice their beliefs. Something I have yet to practice at the time for fear of the trials the Lord could and would put me through. During that conversation, heavenly father calmed my spirit and allowed me to listen and truly hear his message.
As a result, just months from that conversation my wife and I were baptized and forever changed. What I now realize is that heavenly father not only puts trials in front of us, but if we ask he shows us the way. Today the closer I become to heavenly father, the better husband and father I become. As I grow my fear turns into strength as I help my family to grow.
Personal Stories
Why/How do you share the gospel with your friends?
As a convert, someone not born in the or around the church, I have mostly non member friends. As a result my friends ask how and why my life has flourished. I can't help but to share with them at this point what the lord has and can do in our lives.
How I live my faith
Christ has showed us and gave us a perfect example to follow. Through his example I have accepted a calling as a Home Teacher, Young Men's President, an Elders Chorum Counselor, and now currently serve as the Elders Chorum President. Although at times it can be overwhelming I remember just what Christ has done for us and realize we even have automobiles and indoor plumbing. Lol
