I, Shideler, having been born of goodly parents, therefore I was taught somewhat in all the learning of my father (as a member of the church); having been highly favored of the Lord in all my days, yea, having had a great knowledge in the arts of baseball, therefore I make a record of my proceedings in my days. Yea, I make a record in the language of my father, which consists of the learning of the English and the language of the Americans. And I know that the record that I make is true, and I make it with mine own hand and I make it according to my knowledge. Somethings I like to do are: rockclimb, skydive, indoor surfing, hiking, traveling, sports (especially basketball and baseball), hanging out with the family, friends.
I have always grown up in the church and it has always been a great part in my family's life. When I was younger I went to church and participated in church activities because my parents encouraged me to go even if sometimes I didn't want to. It wasn't 'til latter on in life until I gained my own testimony of the church and it's truthfulness for myself. I have read and prayed about the Book of Mormon and know that the things that it teaches, the gospel it contains is true. I know that Jesus Christ is my Reedemer and has paid an infinite atonement for me and everyone else on this earth. For that I'll be eternally grateful. I know that Jesus Christ restored this church through the Prophet Joseph Smith, and that Thomas S. Monson is a true and living prophet of God today. I know my Heavenly Father loves me enough to provide a way for me to be with my family which I love so much for the rest of this life and the life after.
I love this Gospel and that's why I have chosen to give 2 short years of my life to the Lord and share what I know with the people in Spokane Washington Mission. I search the scriptures and pray everyday. I go to church each sunday.
