I'm a convert to the church, baptized on April 15th, 2012. I'm a Pre-Law student and I want to be a politician. I love to read! I love period pieces like Wuthering Heights and Pride and Prejudice. I love animals! I volunteer at animal shelters and I have a dog, a cat and two rats. I love everything New York since I'm from there. I love music. I play a few instruments. I like to speak French since my whole family is from French speaking countries but realistically I only know un peu and fudge the rest. I also love love love flowers! And singing! And Jesus Christ!
I was a happy Catholic when the Church found me. When I was an investigator I knew that whether I decided to get baptized or not this Church is special. There was something different about Mormons that I couldn't quite put my finger on. Like why they're always happy. I've come to know it as the spirit. I have not seen the Spirit this strong in any other church. I belong with this church and I am eternally grateful that it found me. Church is true!
My baptism is one of the most memorable days of my life. I was so nervous but after it happened I felt wonderful. I truly felt that I did the right thing and that Heavenly Father was happy. I will never forget the sense of family with all the people that were there. There was so much hugging and crying, it was beautiful. I feel blessed and I am thankful everyday for the decision that I made.
I help the missionaries as much as I can! Whether it's tabling at our school, going door to door with them or helping at lessons. I try my hardest to be a good example. I want people to look at me and say, "Why is she so happy? I want that." I share the gospel that I know is true with my friends. I stick by my guns when it comes to morals. It's hard not to drink and party at school but I know how to say no. It's hard to dress modestly when it's summer in Florida but I know I must. Jesus sacrificed a lot more and I try to constantly remember that. I try to emulate Him as much as possible and fulfill my duty as a ward missionary. And when the time comes a full-time missionary!
