Chat With a Mormon Online
I grew up in Utah. I'm currently serving a mission in San Diego. Which is awesome! I'm a graduate of the University of Utah. I love all sports, especially basketball. I love to laugh and help other people. I have an amazing family and great friends who help me to be better. I have come to know for myself that following God is what brings true happiness.
I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have always enjoyed going to church, but it wasn't until I decided to serve a mission that I truly understood what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. To me, being a member of this church is a way of life; a way to find peace and happiness. A way to make sense of this world we live in. A way to understand who we are and what our purpose is. As I have been sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ as a missionary and proclaiming to them that God lives and that he speaks today through a living prophet, I have come to know even more that this is true. I am a member of this church because I was raised in it, but it goes beyond that. I know that the Book of Mormon is true because I have prayed about it and read it. Nothing brings me peace like the Book of Mormon does. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world and that the fulness of His gospel has been restored. That the heavens are open. That Heavenly Father knows us individually and cares about us and wants us to be happy. This gospel is one of peace, happiness and change. I have discovered these things for myself through personal experience.
I have come to love the Book of Mormon so much! When I am feeling stressed or anxious, I have been able to find peace and solace in the pages of the Book of Mormon. I know that it is true because it helps me be happy. Because I am able to find answers to my questions as I read. When I read I feel that I invite the spirit into my life which helps me to become closer to God and who He wants me to be.
I am living my faith as a full-time missionary in San Diego. Choosing to serve a mission was a difficult decision for me. It required much faith and much prayer. I knew it would be a sacrifice, but I also knew that with God and Jesus Christ everything is possible. So I put my trust and faith in them, and here I am! I love serving a mission because I get to meet so many wonderful people. I get to help them to know that there is a God and that He cares. I get to teach people how to learn the truth of our message for themselves through their own personal experience. Also I get to participate in community service and learn so much along the way. It is a great opportunity to serve others!
