I'm Parker, and I'm a Mormon. Currently, I'm on a mission! I served in the Oregon Eugene Mission for 18 months, and now I am in the NEW Oregon Salem Mission. I LOVE music. I play Alto Saxophone, French Horn, a little bit of drums, and...I BEATBOX. I also played football and participated in Drama and Musical Theatre. I guess you could say, I'm "of the arts." But beatboxing...definitely my favorite thing in the entire world. I live in POKY! (Pocatello, ID) I really love it there. I'll claim it as my home ANY DAY. Haha Umm...ultimately, I just like to be happy and have a ton of fun.
Well, I have been Mormon my whole life. Born and raised. However, I have made it MY choice to continue living it still. Why? Because I have come to my own knowledge that this is indeed the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have literally seen this Gospel change lives for the better physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I have been through pretty serious life trials, as everyone has. Following this Gospel has helped me through it all, along with many of my family members and friends. I am currently serving a full-time Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. And man, I have grown SO much closer to my loving Heavenly Father. Prayer is absolutely amazing. I am confident when I say He can comfort you in any situation. I have felt His love and comfort. I have gained my own spiritual manifestation that He really IS there. I have a strong testimony of "Friendship." I have seen that being a great friend to everybody will change lives. Even just by striving to be happy. All you have to do is wear a smile, laugh, wave to people, shake hands, hug or whatever... but just be friendly to people. God places our closest friends, brothers, and sisters in our paths every day- its just up to us if we accept them or not. So accept them (: LOVE TO ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!!
Well, I am currently "Living My Faith" by serving a full-time Mission in OREGON !!! But before that...I served in leadership positions in youth groups, and served as a ward missionary. Being a ward missionary was really cool, because I was able to learn what missionaries do. And I was able to see and help A LOT of different people in my ward. When you go out with the missionaries, and teach someone something SO great and important to you, (this Gospel) and you see them become happier...it makes everything worth it. I am so glad I got to prepare for my actual mission by helping with missionaries in my home ward. I also strive to live my faith by being a good example. Making good choices is something SO important in our own lives...but its important for others' lives as well, because they SEE you making good choices. You never know what something so simple (the choices you make) can do for someone else in they're life. I love this Gospel so much, and am thankful for the person its made me today.
