Why I am a Mormon

I born in the church, the gospel is part of my life, i have a testimony about the truthfulness of the Gospel! I Know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, i know too that the Book of Mormon is true, i decide serve a mission for my testimony and share my happiness with the people! I know that this things are true!

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

The Book of Mormon help us to know our Heavenly Father. Is Perfect, in his pages we can learn about the Plan of Salvation, this perfect plan that Our Heavenly Father created for us. We can understand more about the Atonement of Jesus Christ, his sacrifice and his love for us. The Book of Mormon help us to understand the Bible, and together bring us another testimony that Jesus is the CHRIST. For this reason, i feel closer to God when i read the Book of Mormon, because i understand my purpose, and i learn that He is my Heavenly Father.

How has your knowledge of the Plan of Happiness changed/benefited your life?

I feel peace in my life through know what is our purpose in our life's.

What do Mormons believe about family?

When we pray we begin by addressing God. Our address to the Almighty can take several different forms, however, the most common salutation among Latter-day Saints are the personable words: “Dear Heavenly Father.” God is the Father of our spirits and each time we pray we remind ourselves of this most important relationship. The family constitutes a divine pattern. From our Heavenly Father and spiritual siblings to our own biological relatives, the family stands central to the Creator's plan. Thus the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints stands now and will ever stand in support of the traditional nuclear family. It is in our families that we grow and learn. Study after study has shown that children raised in a home with a married mother and father attain greater spiritual and secular success in their lives. Poverty is less likely and emotional distresses are far more rare when children are given this strong foundation. God has revealed through prophets past and present that only in the through the family can we attain the greatest gifts God has in store for us. Embedded in family life is the strongest potential for happiness and “happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ.” Our Father in Heaven wants us to be happy and He knows that we will be the most happy as we form sacred family relationships. The family is a key component to support us in God's plan for gaining immortality and eternal life. All of God's children (all the inhabitants that lived, are living, and will live on Earth) are inseperably connected to each other, both (physically) by our Earthly families and (spiritually) by our Heavenly Father. Families help us to understand our divine heritage. In this, life takes on purpose and meaning. Our immortal spirits were created by our Heavenly Father before Earthly existance, and we are directly connected to Him in this way. As a spiritual family, our collective purpose on Earth is to follow the commandments of God that lead us to live in heaven with Him again. Our spirits need to progress, learn, and grow. In order to achieve that, Earthly existance was created as our test. Our Heavenly Father knew that being exposed to opposing forces on Earth was the only way for us to gain knowledge and wisdom. However, we will not always choose righteousness, and so our Savior, Jesus Christ, is that great mediator to pay the debt of our mistakes. He is the only way by which we can be saved from our sins and transgressions. He is the ultimate example by which direction we need to live our lives. With the support of our earthly kin, we can learn from each other, serve each other, and strengthen our mortal weaknesses by being disciples of Christ. What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

The role of husband and wife in the family is to first and foremost love each other! Wow, revolutionary!!! I have found that when there is love and complete commitment between my husband and I, there is no problem that we cannot face together. It is much easier to teach the children with love and to handle life's challenges. My husband and I are equals. I feel loved, respected, and appreciated by him.
