I was born and raised in Utah, my parents brought me up in the LDS faith but it wasn't until a few years ago that I had my own personal witness of the truthfulness of this gospel. I love the blessing it is to be alive and know about the Lords Plan of Salvation, and that I have a role in that plan no matter how small it may be. I have 7 younger siblings, the 5 youngest of which are adopted. My hobbies are hiking, sports, writing, hanging out with my friends, and playing with my younger siblings. After I graduated from High School I took a semester of college at SLCC, and then headed out on my mission. I have been serving for about a year now and have been to Maui, and all over Oahu.
I have been involved with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints all my life, but for most of that time I didn't know for myself that this was Christs true church. Before my mission I went through a rough time and had to repent of past transgressions. Afterwards I felt indescribable joy as the spirit testified that I had been made clean through Christs atoning sacrifice. That is one of the reasons I decided to go on my mission, to share that testimony I had gained and the joy it brought to my life. Since then I have had several confirmations of the truthfulness of this gospel. I have seen peoples hearts changed as the Holy Ghost testified to them of the truthfulness of the gospel, and as they entered into the covenant of baptism.
The Book of Mormon was specifically compiled for this day and age. That being said, I have had multiple experiences where I have needed guidance and the answers were in the Book of Mormon. Some days it has been as simple as asking Heavenly Father for help and opening the book up and starting to read. Seconds later I have my answer.
By trying evey day to live my life the way Heavenly Father would want me to, by serving a mission and bringing the gospel into the lives of all I meet, and by seeking to make my desires, thoughts, and actions like the Saviors. Thats how I live my faith.
