Right now I'm so close to getting my medallion! I LOVE hanging out with my friends and going on trips with them. I'm sort of into tumbling right now but who knows how long that will last, haha.
I was born into the church so I've had it pretty easy... or as easy as it can be to be a 'peculiar people'. I live in Utah though so it's easier than say Texas. I think that sometimes I take the church for granted because I've had it my whole life. But every time I do, I have a humbling experience that helps me realize the importance of the LDS church.
It's kind of like one thing leads to another. Also, chances are, if you stand up for something you believe, someone else is going to follow your example and do it too. There's strength in numbers. People will respect you if you have the courage to do what's right. If they don't? Who cares? You scored points in heaven and that's what counts:)
I am the first counselor in the MIA maids class (young women 14-16) presidency for my ward. Being so, I feel a great need to be an example to the girls. In some ways I think that's the main reason I'm in the presidency. For me to be a good example. If I wasn't in the presidency, I don't think I'd watch myself as much. So I'm grateful for my calling. I love the youth in my ward! I loved Youth Conference, it was the best experience. I'd rather do that than girls camp! I love Mutual activities.
