Hi I'm Jordan

About Me

I love to sit down at a piano and make something up there on the spot. During the summer time, or when I have lots free time, I like to sit down for hours on end and write a new song! Granted, I only have the basic, cheap recording equipment,I max out the resources I have to try to make the best 'clean' music I can! With all the junk out there that people listen to, I want to put 'clean' songs out there for anyone to listen to and has a good message to it! I'm also starting a new chapter in my life as have I just graduated from high school. I'm slightly nervous, but nonetheless really excited to go to college and on my mission!!! I am trying my best to establish good, righteous patterns that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Basically, I'm ready to see what life has in store for me!

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was born into the gospel, I had to gain a testimony of my own. I eventually had to have my own conversion story. Bit by bit, little by little throughout my life so far, my testimony has grown into the strong immovable foundation it is now. The happiness this gospel brings, and the joy I receive from living the gospel, which comes from me having a testimony, is what makes me love being Mormon! I have this great knowledge of where I came from, where I'm headed, and how to get there. Everything I learn in this gospel feels complete. So why would I ever stray away from this TRUE and AMAZING gospel?!?

Personal Stories

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

I have never been a reader. I have always hated reading as long as I can remember! But when I decided to start reading the Book of Mormon, just because I knew I should, a miracle happened that changed my life. Because I showed God I was trying to read the Book of Mormon everyday, He blessed me with the ability to read a little more each day. Soon, I actually had a desire to read and learn of the doctrines taught in that book. I started gaining an even stronger testimony of this gospel, the truthfulness of it, and the reality of it too! That God actually lives, He loves us more than we can comprehend, He honestly knows the best path for us and He will give us guidance when we ask for it with patience and long-suffering. What started as something difficult for me to do, turned into a tremendous learning opportunity; and the more I learned about God's love for His children, the more grew to be thankful for Him and loved Him even more! At this point in my life now, I have such a crazy strong desire to learn more and more about this gospel and the incomprehensible happiness it brings that I wish I could share it with every person I meet!

How I live my faith

Every morning, I wake up and read one chapter of the Book of Mormon, and study "Preach My Gospel". After establishing this pattern, it is now part of my daily routine. I also try to be an example to my friends at school and those I come in contact with (members, non-members, adults and young people) in hopes that those people will be strengthened and also that the non-members will ask questions about the church. I regularly attend Church and institute with a desire to learn more about the gospel every time I go. I try to always have the spirit with me so I can live the life God wants me to live. At this point in my life, I'm trying my best to prepare for my mission!
