Chat With a Mormon Online
I was born in Atlanta, Georgia but I was mostly raised in Tuskegee, Alabama. I will be serving a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Leeds,England mission. I love basketball, ping-pong, but more than anything I love Jesus Christ.
Two missionaries from the Mormon church knocked on my door when I was 14. I was extremely skeptical about what they taught me and what they beleived until one missionary asked me to pray and ask God if what they were teaching me was true. I prayed and The Spirit of God confirmed to me that what the missionaries were teaching me was indeed true. I have recieved many added blessings through striving to live the principles of the gospel which the missionaries taught me when I was 14, and that is why I am Mormon.
One thing that the Savior really stressed was to Love your fellow man. This is a philosophy that I certainly haven't perfected. I strongly beleive however, that although I may not perfect it in this life the Savior definitely wants me to keep striving after it. I have been the recipient of much love throughout my life and through the teachings of the Mormon Church I have grown both in my capacity and understanding of how to love my fellow man. My mom is a perfect example of love for your fellow man. Often throughout my life no matter where we lived we would frequently get visitors who merely wanted to vent or talk about their problems to my mom, and she was never one to withhold a listening ear. I now plan on serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I hope I can embody the Christ-like love my mother had.
I attend many programs within the church which help to strengthen members. I express my faith through service within the community which is imperative within the Mormon religion.
