About Me
Hi, I'm Jared. I've loved to learn all my life, and so, no surprise, I became a teacher! Although endorsed as a language arts teacher (I love the art of words and the power of writing throughout the ages), I also love astronomy, history, biology, anatomy, visual arts, and social arts and culture. My wife and I found each other via online dating (yes, it can work!), and have one beautiful child. For hobbies, I enjoy hiking, creative writing, analytical writing, designing solar systems, and designing "alien" societies. I also love video games, where I can experience virtual realities or simulations (which works well when you like to write sci fi or fantasy).

About Me
I am the oldest of four, and an uncle to the most adorable nephew and nieces in the world. I grew up in a small city in central California--small by California standards, anyway--and attended a university in but not OF Utah where I earned two degrees in physics, and now live in southern Nevada where I am an adjunct professor at a community college. I enjoy reading spy thriller novels, baking, spending time with friends, taking leisurely walks in the cool of evening, and keeping up with news and world events.

I'm a language lover, a music maker, a multicultural food devourer, a teacher of my kids and grandkids. And I'm a Mormon.
-
-
About Me
I love pulling people closer into my circle and expanding my circle to include them. I love the languages and cultures and the people of Central Asia, and I enjoy being a language administrator. Most of my co-workers are Muslim, and I love working with them as we create textbooks, multimedia materials and mobile apps for Turkic and Iranian languages. We also teach language and culture to students from academic, business, military and other governmental organizations, many of whom later travel or work in Afghanistan, Western China or various Eurasian countries. I enjoy creating music, vocal and instrumental. I also love roller coasters and stormy weather. I’ve been laid off twice. Despite trials and defeat, I have always felt a success as a parent, and as a result, I’ve felt successful in general. I love my wife. She is an organizer extraordinaire; her influence as a teacher of youth cannot be measured. We are empty nesters with six amazing adult kids, a daughter and five sons. We have a bunch of wonderful grandkids. My favorite age is the teenage years. I love having teenagers; it's when their hearts and minds kick in in full gear. Teenagerhood -- well prepared for -- is a joy. Real travel for me starts where English is not spoken and dollars are not used. I love eating international foods of all sorts and discussing them with my family. I enjoy talking to folks of all sorts; I love learning from people who aren't like me.

About Me
Elder Boyd K. Packer said, "The ultimate end of all activity in the Church is that a man and his wife and their children can be happy at home." I can say firsthand that I know what it's like to be a part of a happy family. In this regard, I am the luckiest wife and mother on the planet. Our children are teenagers, and yet they still open up to me about anything and everything. I treasure my husband and children more than I can say. I have numerous other blessings as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have a strong desire to share my testimony of the gospel. I do struggle with weaknesses and various different trials, specifically health issues. But it helps me to remember the good moments outweigh the bad ones. Oh how they do! The gospel of Jesus Christ enables me to have this perspective, regardless of the trials my family and I are going through. I enjoy reading mostly for secular and spiritual learning, journal writing, photography, creative writing, going to the movies isn't movie popcorn the best?!, helping others, social networking on the internet, blogging, spending time with my friends, immediate and extended family and I've been known to play a game of spider solitaire or two. If I'm listening to Michael Buble, one might catch me dancing. I very much enjoy going to the temple. I have taken numerous college classes on different campuses and online. I absolutely love learning. My husband is a private investigator. He is good at what he does and more importantly, he enjoys his job. I do not work outside the home. A great deal of my time and energy is spent towards my family and taking care of our daughter who has special needs. She has over 15 doctors. My sons have some health care issues as well. But I am grateful that my children have doctors and medication to help them. The inconvenience of doctor's appointments is a small price to pay for necessary health care. Somehow, our children rise above their trials and keep on going. They each have accomplished good things and I am proud of them, especially for the good choices they make. I am so grateful to my husband, and for the love and patience he shows to me. He is also one of the funniest people I know. I love him dearly. I am excited for this opportunity to share my beliefs about Jesus Christ. I welcome comments on my blog page.

About Me
I am a college student and will soon have my Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education- History. I love history because it shows us what our human family has completed and also because it can give us hope in what is yet to come. Another spectacular thing history does is bring us all together in an interconnected web because everyone has a story. Like most people my life is filled with great times and hard times. I say hard times not bad times because my faith provides me with the ability to understand that the tough times can be those where I learn and grow the most. I can become a better and stronger woman by holding my beliefs close to me as I weather unfortunate events in my life.

About Me
I am a father of 6 and a grandfather of an increasing number of grandchildren.... that make's me sound old, but I'm really young on the inside! I love musical theatre and have a passion for foreign languages. Over the years I have researched my family history and now I'm trying to give something back by indexing (mainly Mexican) Family history records. I served as a missionary for the Church in North West France. My family is the most important thing in my life. We live in the UK and always love to tell others how our family has been blessed because of the Church of Jesus Christ and its teachings.. It is the one thing that has helped us as a family more than anything else, not just with religious things but with every part of our lives. We thoroughly recommend it !!!!

-
About Me
I love the martial arts. Next to my Father in Heaven I credit my study of Taekwondo to what level of confidence and physical skill I have. The arts were there at an early age to facilitate normalcy of a medical condition that could've cost me my life. Though I am unable to actively pursue the arts as I once did I do honor and sustain it's precepts in my life. I am a patriot. I am loyal to the flag of the United States of America and the Constitution upon which this nation is built. Though my service in the United States Army was brief it did help me maintain a humility and awe for what it takes to defend the interests of this nation. May the flag so wave to the satisfaction of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and all the great men and women who have served honorable capacities for this nation. Especially those whose names are lesser or not known. I am honest. I've learned hard that honesty is the truest and best policy which to base your life. Though difficult and may put you in a pickle honesty will set you free. With honesty you are worthy of the freedom and liberty afforded you by your nation and God. With honesty you qualify yourself of the love of your friends and family. I love astronomy and the study of celestial events. I love history and the volumes it teaches us about the future. I love computers, internet design and it's proof of the glory of God - intelligence. I guess to break it all down into a nutshell I am a child of God.

About Me
My name is Emily, and I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on 27 September 2009. I am Deaf, but received bilateral cochlear implants in 2010. I found the church through my ballroom dance teacher and his wife (who became my best friend). Because I grew up in a divorced home with many difficult issues, their example to me of what a family could really be was critical in my process of learning about the church. My conversion took nine months of intense study, as well as behavior changes that included giving up alcohol, coffee, and piercings. Oh, and things like chastity and tithing. And learning that I do love my family, after all, and all the repentance work that comes with discovering what that means. I heart the Temple with all the heart I've got. I have gone almost every week since I got baptized. It has brought much healing to me and to my family. In my professional life that is an attempt to be self-sufficient, I am a licensed therapist with my PhD. For fun, I love ballroom dancing, and wandering through nature to write and paint. I enjoy taking pictures for my blog. I am single still, and that has been important for me to take time on my own to learn who I truly am as defined by Heavenly Father rather than defining myself by other people. I am a daughter of God! I know that marriage is an important part of the plan, and I look forward to getting married in the Temple when it is time. I have a little dog that I love very much. Even though he is ugly.

About Me
I grew up surrounded by the natural beauty of Montana where I took full advantage of many outdoor adventures including; driving my car into a few lakes, being swept away by a raging river and getting chased by several wild animals, some of which were the human species. I joined the Navy when I was 18 for the opportunity to see the world. In the first week of living in a big city, I got mugged TWICE in the very SAME day! The money that I lost that day was well worth the story I get to tell over and over for the rest of my life. I am the proud parent of five of the greatest kids that I have EVER been the parent of in my entire life.

About Me
I love fishing because I can get away from the hussle and bussle of the world, to enjoy the beauties of nature that God created for us all! Such as eagles flying high, the peacefull sound of a river, & bright colors of wildflowers. It's also a time which I can enjoy the company of my family who I love! We've been fishing the same river for 60+ years. I played Golf on my high school team, now I just play for fun with my family. I love John Wayne everything. I collect many things. I live at home with my Mother, Father, and older Brother, Collin, who's Autistic; with this I've learned a lot about others who have dissabillities and I've come to know that everyone, no matter what ailments we may have, that we're still God's children and he loves everyone the same! My family is awesome! I love stories of my ancestors. I attend college. I served a mission in Western Washington State, in which I've learned many things about how God works and how we obtain blessings in this life from being obediant to his commandments! I've gained a powerfull witness of how Jesus Christ's Atoning Sacrifice works in all of our individual lives; thru him all our weaknesses can be made strong...and that's just a start on its power! I was baptized at age 8. I've felt the influences of the Holy Ghost in my life in which I've had to learn to listen to it. By doing so, I've seen the miricles of God in my life. This is one of the ways I've always known the church is true, that God still speaks to us today.
