I'm a recent PhD in African literature written in French. I grew up in Anglophone Western Canada, met and married a gorgeous Pittsburgher and now live in Western Pennsylvania with her, our son, our triplet girls and our newest arrival (poor big brother is now hopelessly outnumbered...)

Elder Boyd K. Packer said, "The ultimate end of all activity in the Church is that a man and his wife and their children can be happy at home." I can say firsthand that I know what it's like to be a part of a happy family. In this regard, I am the luckiest wife and mother on the planet. Our children are teenagers, and yet they still open up to me about anything and everything. I treasure my husband and children more than I can say. I have numerous other blessings as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have a strong desire to share my testimony of the gospel. I do struggle with weaknesses and various different trials, specifically health issues. But it helps me to remember the good moments outweigh the bad ones. Oh how they do! The gospel of Jesus Christ enables me to have this perspective, regardless of the trials my family and I are going through. I enjoy reading mostly for secular and spiritual learning, journal writing, photography, creative writing, going to the movies isn't movie popcorn the best?!, helping others, social networking on the internet, blogging, spending time with my friends, immediate and extended family and I've been known to play a game of spider solitaire or two. If I'm listening to Michael Buble, one might catch me dancing. I very much enjoy going to the temple. I have taken numerous college classes on different campuses and online. I absolutely love learning. My husband is a private investigator. He is good at what he does and more importantly, he enjoys his job. I do not work outside the home. A great deal of my time and energy is spent towards my family and taking care of our daughter who has special needs. She has over 15 doctors. My sons have some health care issues as well. But I am grateful that my children have doctors and medication to help them. The inconvenience of doctor's appointments is a small price to pay for necessary health care. Somehow, our children rise above their trials and keep on going. They each have accomplished good things and I am proud of them, especially for the good choices they make. I am so grateful to my husband, and for the love and patience he shows to me. He is also one of the funniest people I know. I love him dearly. I am excited for this opportunity to share my beliefs about Jesus Christ. I welcome comments on my blog page.

I have been a member of the Church since 1978. I was the first member in my family. My wife and I have been married since 1983. We have five wonderful children and a rapidly-growing number of grandchildren. I work in the Information Technology field, teach guitar, study judo, and I'm the author of several LDS-oriented books. I am the oldest of four, and an uncle to the most adorable nephew and nieces in the world. I grew up in a small city in central California--small by California standards, anyway--and attended a university in but not OF Utah where I earned two degrees in physics, and now live in southern Nevada where I am an adjunct professor at a community college. I love the martial arts. Next to my Father in Heaven I credit my study of Taekwondo to what level of confidence and physical skill I have. The arts were there at an early age to facilitate normalcy of a medical condition that could've cost me my life. Though I am unable to actively pursue the arts as I once did I do honor and sustain it's precepts in my life. I am a patriot. I am loyal to the flag of the United States of America and the Constitution upon which this nation is built. Though my service in the United States Army was brief it did help me maintain a humility and awe for what it takes to defend the interests of this nation. May the flag so wave to the satisfaction of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and all the great men and women who have served honorable capacities for this nation. Especially those whose names are lesser or not known. I am honest. I've learned hard that honesty is the truest and best policy which to base your life. Though difficult and may put you in a pickle honesty will set you free. With honesty you are worthy of the freedom and liberty afforded you by your nation and God. With honesty you qualify yourself of the love of your friends and family. I love astronomy and the study of celestial events. I love history and the volumes it teaches us about the future. I love computers, internet design and it's proof of the glory of God - intelligence. I guess to break it all down into a nutshell I am a child of God.

I grew up surrounded by the natural beauty of Montana where I took full advantage of many outdoor adventures including; driving my car into a few lakes, being swept away by a raging river and getting chased by several wild animals, some of which were the human species. I joined the Navy when I was 18 for the opportunity to see the world. In the first week of living in a big city, I got mugged TWICE in the very SAME day! The money that I lost that day was well worth the story I get to tell over and over for the rest of my life. I am the proud parent of five of the greatest kids that I have EVER been the parent of in my entire life.

Hi! I'm Kathryn. I'm a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was born and raised in Salt Lake City in 1948. I have been married for 40 years (to the same kind, incredibly patient man). Together we have two grown children -- a son and a daughter. I am a retired computer programmer/systems designer who loves to travel, garden, write, attend the theatre, talk about my faith and spend time with my two dogs and one cat.

I love to read, watch movies, act, sing, dance, play sports with friends. Anything active for my mind or body. I wish I could be the Fablehaven caretaker for a living. I really really enjoy timtams. Too much. It's a problem really. The word "running" is synonymous with "torture" in my book. But I thoroughly enjoy exercise.  I was born and raised in Orange County California and moved with my family to Utah as a teenager. I attended college and received my Bachelor's degree in Art with an emphasis in photography. I am a convert of over 30 years I joined the Church when I was 18. I've been in the military, in fact I was home for two weeks after boot camp when I was baptised into the LDS Church. After my discharge from the military, I had the opportunity to serve a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am the father of three children, two boys and a lovely girl. I enjoy reading about history, politics, and enjoy reading about the history of the LDS Church. About Me

I work as a Sgt for a local Sheriff's Office. I have been an Officer for 13 years. In 1995 my daughter Krystal Dawn tragically died. Because of her loss I started to compete in races to raise money for important causes: a 5K for the VanKomen breast cancer, Triathlons for the Hess Cancer foundation, and Marathons for childhood Cancer. I am living a purpose filled life seeking opportunities to serve and mentor my family and the other people around me. I was an active triathlete but then I was stricken with a serious illness and I suffer with numbness and pain every day. But it hasn't stopped my beautiful journey from Athlete, to Patient, and hopefully to Survivor. And even though I would rather participate as an athlete, I can still be a powerful influence for good. I believe in God. I testify of God and I know the challenges I face are particular opportunities God has given me to grow. I am humbled by my illness and it drives me to my knees everyday. I know God is there and he is a loving Father, not some distant cosmic presence. He loves me. He loves my family and he helps and me inspires me every day.

I am a returned senior missionary and am now serving as a Church-service missionary. My life is God & family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a convert to the Church and have completed two missions as a senior missionary with my husband. These missions have been the greatest growing experiences and blessings of our lives (aside from marriage and children). We have 12 wonderful children between the two of us, all of whom are 100% loving and supportive. We have 26 grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Family means everything to us, but we left our family for a little while to take the gospel to others so they can know about God's great plan of happiness whereby we can have our families with us forever. None of my relatives are members of the Church, so I have a lot of family history and temple work to do for my ancestors. I love nature, reading, writing, and photography. My professional career was school counseling and I still enjoy helping people find success in life. My life is now dedicated to watching over my family and using my time and talents to serve my Heavenly Father and fellow human beings in whatever way possible. I love fishing because I can get away from the hussle and bussle of the world, to enjoy the beauties of nature that God created for us all! Such as eagles flying high, the peacefull sound of a river, & bright colors of wildflowers. It's also a time which I can enjoy the company of my family who I love! We've been fishing the same river for 60+ years. I played Golf on my high school team, now I just play for fun with my family. I love John Wayne everything. I collect many things. I live at home with my Mother, Father, and older Brother, Collin, who's Autistic; with this I've learned a lot about others who have dissabillities and I've come to know that everyone, no matter what ailments we may have, that we're still God's children and he loves everyone the same! My family is awesome! I love stories of my ancestors. I attend college. I served a mission in Western Washington State, in which I've learned many things about how God works and how we obtain blessings in this life from being obediant to his commandments! I've gained a powerfull witness of how Jesus Christ's Atoning Sacrifice works in all of our individual lives; thru him all our weaknesses can be made strong...and that's just a start on its power! I was baptized at age 8. I've felt the influences of the Holy Ghost in my life in which I've had to learn to listen to it. By doing so, I've seen the miricles of God in my life. This is one of the ways I've always known the church is true, that God still speaks to us today.

I am currently in university completing my BSc with honours in Biology. I love science. I am fascinated by the workings of the human body and enjoy subjects like genetics, cell biology, and histology. I love music too and I play the guitar.
