Elder Boyd K. Packer said, "The ultimate end of all activity in the Church is that a man and his wife and their children can be happy at home." I can say firsthand that I know what it's like to be a part of a happy family. In this regard, I am the luckiest wife and mother on the planet. Our children are teenagers, and yet they still open up to me about anything and everything. I treasure my husband and children more than I can say. I have numerous other blessings as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have a strong desire to share my testimony of the gospel. I do struggle with weaknesses and various different trials, specifically health issues. But it helps me to remember the good moments outweigh the bad ones. Oh how they do! The gospel of Jesus Christ enables me to have this perspective, regardless of the trials my family and I are going through. I enjoy reading mostly for secular and spiritual learning, journal writing, photography, creative writing, going to the movies isn't movie popcorn the best?!, helping others, social networking on the internet, blogging, spending time with my friends, immediate and extended family and I've been known to play a game of spider solitaire or two. If I'm listening to Michael Buble, one might catch me dancing. I very much enjoy going to the temple. I have taken numerous college classes on different campuses and online. I absolutely love learning. My husband is a private investigator. He is good at what he does and more importantly, he enjoys his job. I do not work outside the home. A great deal of my time and energy is spent towards my family and taking care of our daughter who has special needs. She has over 15 doctors. My sons have some health care issues as well. But I am grateful that my children have doctors and medication to help them. The inconvenience of doctor's appointments is a small price to pay for necessary health care. Somehow, our children rise above their trials and keep on going. They each have accomplished good things and I am proud of them, especially for the good choices they make. I am so grateful to my husband, and for the love and patience he shows to me. He is also one of the funniest people I know. I love him dearly. I am excited for this opportunity to share my beliefs about Jesus Christ. I welcome comments on my blog page.

I grew up in a small city in central California--small by California standards, anyway--and attended a university in but not OF Utah where I earned two degrees in physics, and now live in southern Nevada where I am an adjunct professor at a community college. I love the martial arts. Next to my Father in Heaven I credit my study of Taekwondo to what level of confidence and physical skill I have. The arts were there at an early age to facilitate normalcy of a medical condition that could've cost me my life. Though I am unable to actively pursue the arts as I once did I do honor and sustain it's precepts in my life. I am a patriot. I am loyal to the flag of the United States of America and the Constitution upon which this nation is built. Though my service in the United States Army was brief it did help me maintain a humility and awe for what it takes to defend the interests of this nation. May the flag so wave to the satisfaction of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and all the great men and women who have served honorable capacities for this nation. Especially those whose names are lesser or not known. I am honest. I've learned hard that honesty is the truest and best policy which to base your life. Though difficult and may put you in a pickle honesty will set you free. With honesty you are worthy of the freedom and liberty afforded you by your nation and God. With honesty you qualify yourself of the love of your friends and family. I love astronomy and the study of celestial events. I love history and the volumes it teaches us about the future. I love computers, internet design and it's proof of the glory of God - intelligence. I guess to break it all down into a nutshell I am a child of God.

I have been a member of the Church since 1978. I was the first member in my family. My wife and I have been married since 1983. We have five wonderful children and a rapidly-growing number of grandchildren. I work in the Information Technology field, teach guitar, study judo, and I'm the author of several LDS-oriented books. I grew up surrounded by the natural beauty of Montana where I took full advantage of many outdoor adventures including; driving my car into a few lakes, being swept away by a raging river and getting chased by several wild animals, some of which were the human species. I joined the Navy when I was 18 for the opportunity to see the world. In the first week of living in a big city, I got mugged TWICE in the very SAME day! I love fishing because I can get away from the hussle and bussle of the world, to enjoy the beauties of nature that God created for us all! Such as eagles flying high, the peacefull sound of a river, & bright colors of wildflowers. It's also a time which I can enjoy the company of my family who I love! We've been fishing the same river for 60+ years. I played Golf on my high school team, now I just play for fun with my family. I love John Wayne everything. I collect many things. I live at home with my Mother, Father, and older Brother, Collin, who's Autistic; with this I've learned a lot about others who have dissabillities and I've come to know that everyone, no matter what ailments we may have, that we're still God's children and he loves everyone the same! My family is awesome! I love stories of my ancestors. I attend college. I served a mission in Western Washington State, in which I've learned many things about how God works and how we obtain blessings in this life from being obediant to his commandments! I've gained a powerfull witness of how Jesus Christ's Atoning Sacrifice works in all of our individual lives; thru him all our weaknesses can be made strong...and that's just a start on its power! I was baptized at age 8. I've felt the influences of the Holy Ghost in my life in which I've had to learn to listen to it. By doing so, I've seen the miricles of God in my life. This is one of the ways I've always known the church is true, that God still speaks to us today.

Hi! I'm Kathryn. I'm a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was born and raised in Salt Lake City in 1948. I have been married for 40 years (to the same kind, incredibly patient man). Together we have two grown children -- a son and a daughter. I am a retired computer programmer/systems designer who loves to travel, garden, write, attend the theatre, talk about my faith and spend time with my two dogs and one cat.

I study languages in my spare time. Music's in my blood. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah and lived in the same house from when I was born until I moved out to go to college after high school. I'm the youngest of four kids and the only boy, and I love my sisters a ton. My parents are my heroes, they are such loving and faithful people and taught me the value of hard work, independence, and reliance on the Lord. I love to learn, especially the languages of the world. From a pretty young age I had a fascination with the ability to speak different languages and as an ambitious teenager tried to learn several on my own. I have studied many and developed some proficiency in a few. I can only claim real fluency in Spanish, but I speak French well enough and could get by pretty well in Hebrew and Romanian. When I started attending BYU I decided to major in Linguistics, the scientific study of language, and so far I've loved it. I'm not sure exactly what career path I'm headed for, but I've considered teaching, translating, technology, business, or government intelligence. In my free time I love to read good books, especially ones that help increase my knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, though good thought-provoking novels I can also really enjoy. I love to listen to good music of almost genre. I also love spending time with friends and family. My family is really musical. We love to sing together and enjoy musicals, and I play the piano.

I am a foster parent and I work with at-risk youth. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a large family, 56 including great-grandchildren, and family has always been important to me. The family structure was my course of study in college and that love has led me to work with at-risk youth and to be a foster parent with my wife. I have always been involved with sports from little league to football and wrestling. I also love outdoor activities, especially hiking, biking and camping and still try to get out and hike mountains in the valley as often as I can. My wife and I have 3 adopted kids, 2 through the foster system, and we enjoy giving them the same experiences with the outdoors that we had growing up. We have two beagles whom we take with us on all of our adventures. I have volunteered at 2 local high schools as an assistant wrestling coach. I also volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America and enjoy teaching youth about all of the fun that is waiting for them in outdoor activities.

I am the oldest of 4 children and the only son. I was born, raised and spent most of my life in South Carolina. I enjoy a variety of music but Michael Buble' happens to be 1 of my favorite artists. I also enjoy travel. I have been to 43 of the 50 states in the United States (Alaska, Hawaii, Michigan, Minnesota, Oregon, Washington & Wisconsin being the 7 states I have not yet visited). I am retired from the United States Air Force Survival Instructor & work as a civilian on a military base in Georgia. I have earned 5 college degrees AAS 2, AA, BA, MS.
