I have been married for 40 years (to the same kind, incredibly patient man). Together we have two grown children -- a son and a daughter. -
About Me
I am a father of 6 and a grandfather of an increasing number of grandchildren.... that make's me sound old, but I'm really young on the inside! I love musical theatre and have a passion for foreign languages. Over the years I have researched my family history and now I'm trying to give something back by indexing (mainly Mexican) Family history records. I served as a missionary for the Church in North West France. My family is the most important thing in my life. We live in the UK and always love to tell others how our family has been blessed because of the Church of Jesus Christ and its teachings.. It is the one thing that has helped us as a family more than anything else, not just with religious things but with every part of our lives. We thoroughly recommend it !!!!

About Me
Elder Boyd K. Packer said, "The ultimate end of all activity in the Church is that a man and his wife and their children can be happy at home." I can say firsthand that I know what it's like to be a part of a happy family. In this regard, I am the luckiest wife and mother on the planet. Our children are teenagers, and yet they still open up to me about anything and everything. I treasure my husband and children more than I can say. I have numerous other blessings as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have a strong desire to share my testimony of the gospel. I do struggle with weaknesses and various different trials, specifically health issues. But it helps me to remember the good moments outweigh the bad ones. Oh how they do! The gospel of Jesus Christ enables me to have this perspective, regardless of the trials my family and I are going through. I enjoy reading mostly for secular and spiritual learning, journal writing, photography, creative writing, going to the movies isn't movie popcorn the best?!, helping others, social networking on the internet, blogging, spending time with my friends, immediate and extended family and I've been known to play a game of spider solitaire or two. If I'm listening to Michael Buble, one might catch me dancing. I very much enjoy going to the temple. I have taken numerous college classes on different campuses and online. I absolutely love learning. My husband is a private investigator. He is good at what he does and more importantly, he enjoys his job. I do not work outside the home. A great deal of my time and energy is spent towards my family and taking care of our daughter who has special needs. She has over 15 doctors. My sons have some health care issues as well. But I am grateful that my children have doctors and medication to help them. The inconvenience of doctor's appointments is a small price to pay for necessary health care. Somehow, our children rise above their trials and keep on going. They each have accomplished good things and I am proud of them, especially for the good choices they make. I am so grateful to my husband, and for the love and patience he shows to me. He is also one of the funniest people I know. I love him dearly. I am excited for this opportunity to share my beliefs about Jesus Christ. I welcome comments on my blog page.

About Me
I have been a member of the Church for 37 of my 61 years and have no regrets at ever having made the decision to be baptized. In my Church life I have served in many callings. I have served in 5 Bishoprics in the callings from Bishopric Councilor, Executive Secretary and Ward Clerk. I have also twice been a Ward Mission Leader, Primary Teacher, Sunday School Teacher. I Have served in several Sunday School Presidencies, and as a Family History Consultant, and Ward Newsletter Editor and my latest calling is as the Ward Website Supervisor. I, am now on a Disability support Pension, having previously been a Project Engineer, Gunsmith Technician, Marine Engineer, Automation's Technician, Computer Technician and Network Engineer, In 2006 I became the World's most published Amateur Poet in Books and Electronic Media. I was awarded Published Poet Awards, along with Editor's Choice Awards over a number of years. Being a Latter-day Saint by not attending the Annual Poet's Conference in Las Vegas, I made myself ineligible for the $20,000 US Dollar prize. I am glad, because I would much prefer to live my religion, and honour God for the talent's given unto me, than be honoured and feted by Men. Living one's beliefs is more important than following the trends and fashions of the World. They will not bring Men Salvation. In June of last year I was in Hospital unable to move due to two bulging disks in my spine pressing on my sciatic nerve today I am back training on a road racing bike.

About Me
It is daunting for me to participate in any online community because of the unfavorable light that has been cast on some of these internet portals. I am the "Old Dog" having to learn new tricks, and I am generally pleased with the new face that "the Mormons" have placed on Social Media. I am also a classic prodigal, having been totally inactive in my faith for over 20 years. It was 8 years ago, however, that my wife and now eternal companion and I "saved" each other, and with renewed commitment, made the decision to come back to church and participate fully in all that our Savior has in store for us. My reluctance here is that some who may have known me then would scoff at this effort to share some of my story. Nevertheless, I will jump in with the hope that this will be good for you, and for me. I am a father of 3, and grandfather of 8. Our family has a long history of military service from submarines to airplanes, and that continues today. I was an Army pilot in Vietnam as a 19 year old away from home for the first time. It was my strong upbringing in church and scouting, along with awesome support from my family that got me through that year. I work for my local government as well as own a small business with my wife and partner. Beekeeping and photography are where I spend my few leisure hours. For me, working with the bees, harvesting honey, being involved with their efforts, and understanding their importance to our world is a touchstone to ancient history. Book of Mormon and Biblical references to bees and honey are testimony to this virtually unchanged, and hard working little friend. I love the bees!

I am a physician, but sometimes I think I should have been a sports broadcaster or a disc jockey. I am a Mormon.

About Me
I am one of those people who could have chosen various careers, since much about life and the world intrigues me. Even though I decided on Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose and Throat), as a medical and surgical specialty, I continue to be a sports junkie, one who can scan the sports page of the newspaper for 5 minutes and effortlessly glean all pertinent facts. The same is true for popular music: without trying, just by listening, titles, artists, and genres of music accumulate in my mind and can be retrieved from memory even years later. Now, don't get me wrong: I am a knowledgeable physician. It's just that it requires more energy and effort to gather, remember and retrieve pertinent medical facts and concepts. What I enjoy most about my medical career is the opportunity to be a healer on many levels, by weaving probing questions, empathic listening, and adequate communication time, allowing patients' bodies, minds and hearts to heal simultaneously. Obviously, my faith in Jesus Christ heavily influences my views as a physician and as a person. In addition to my professional and personal interests, my main focus is my family. My wife and I have been happily married for 28+ years, and are the parents of 3 sons and a daughter, ranging from 16-26 years of age. A great joy in my life is to see my kids make wise and responsible choices. I have found that marriage and parenthood are the most rewarding and yet the most difficult experiences of my life, crucibles of sorts.

About Me
I come from a large family, 56 including great-grandchildren, and family has always been important to me. The family structure was my course of study in college and that love has led me to work with at-risk youth and to be a foster parent with my wife. I have always been involved with sports from little league to football and wrestling. I also love outdoor activities, especially hiking, biking and camping and still try to get out and hike mountains in the valley as often as I can. My wife and I have 3 adopted kids, 2 through the foster system, and we enjoy giving them the same experiences with the outdoors that we had growing up. We have two beagles whom we take with us on all of our adventures. I have volunteered at 2 local high schools as an assistant wrestling coach. I also volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America and enjoy teaching youth about all of the fun that is waiting for them in outdoor activities.
