About Me
As a teen-ager living the teachings of the Church, my friends knew I was different and seemed to respect me for my beliefs. I was also able to avoid some of the pitfalls that teens often find themselves in because I was trying to live the Gospel. I enjoy sports of every kind, being with my family and truly enjoy interacting with people, whether they are co-workers, neighbors or new acquaintances.

About Me
I was raised by a Mormon Mother and Non-church attending Father who always saw that my other was able to get my sister and I to Church when we were small children. Later as a teenager, my sister and I attended with our mother regularly on Sundays and on youth nights as we grew up. My father said he did not want us to be baptised at age 8, which is normal in the LDS church, as he thought we should be older where we could make that decision on our own. My sister and I were batised on the same day, I was 16 at the time and my sister 2 years younger. We were baptised in a motel swiming Pool in Kingsland Georgia. That is where I met my future wife who traveled each weekend from Jacksonville to Kingsland to visit grandparents and to attend church in Kingsland. After I returned from serving in the US Army, we were married in the Salt Lake City Utah Temple. I had just started working for the railroad and we rode the train from Waycross, Georgia to Sale Lake City - then back home to Waycross on the Train. All in a weeks time. In 2004 my wife and I both retired from the CSX Railroad. I have served in most every job in the church and continue to serve. We love genealogy research and tracing our ancesters and being of service to all that we can.

I have a passion for living and promoting a balanced, fulfilling, and effective life. I'm a Mormon.
-
-
About Me
I am married to a beautiful and good woman and blessed to be the father of four remarkable children and five wonderful grandchildren. Although I am a CPA and Chief Financial Officer, I am not your typical mild-mannered bean counter. When not working, I try to live life to it's fullest by flying powered parachutes, wakesurfing, and bowfishing. In the past I have climbed Mount Rainier, competed in sprint triathlons, sky-dived, bowhunted elk, fished remote Alaska, and snorkled the blue waters of Bermuda and Hawaii. I am a champion of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

About Me
I love to read. I love reading philosophy and I love reading clinical chiropractic literature. I love really digging into books--really studying, seeking to understand new concepts which will change the way I live and act. I particularly love studying the scriptures. I love music, both creating and appreciating music. I played guitar in a couple of college bands and wrote a number of the songs we performed. I also enjoy listening to really good quality music, music that enlarges me beyond the physical senses of life; stuff like Peter Gabriel, Alexi Murdoch, The Avett Brothers, Jónsi, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Rachmaninoff, Debussy. I love running. Nothing is more exhilarating to me than finding myself all alone on a trail, surrounded by the beauty of God's creations... lakes, tress, dirt, sun. And maybe just a sprinkling of rain and a mud puddle. But mainly I love being a husband and dad. I have found nothing else in life both so challenging and so rewarding. I think Spencer Kimball, a man I believe was a modern day prophet, said it best: "Marriage... means sacrifice, sharing, and even a reduction of some personal liberties. It means long, hard economizing. It means children who bring with them financial burdens, service burdens, care and worry burdens; but it also means the sweetest and deepest emotions of all" (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Spencer W. Kimball, 194).

About Me
I very much enjoy spending time outdoors running and backpacking, especially with family. I am very happily married and together we are the proud parents of four beautiful children. I'm an electrical engineering graduate and work as an engineering manager for a large global organization that provides Information Technology services. I also spent two years in a volunteer position serving as a missionary in the Canary Islands where I shared the gospel of Jesus Christ, became fluent in Spanish, experienced an amazing culture, and met many wonderful people. I also like to read, experiment with the latest technologies (Kindle, Tablets, etc) and discuss interestingly philosophical topics with friends and family. I come from a large family where I learned the value of hard work and the importance of creating deep, lasting relationships with family and friends. I try to emphasize these same lessons with my children and hope I share my values to others in the future.

-
-
About Me
I am a geologist, husband, father, and grandfather. I enjoy complex landscapes, modern and ancient sedimentary rocks, clay minerals, and making my kids read geological road descriptions as we drive cross country. I love my Heavenly Father and find constant fulfillment within the gospel of Jesus Christ. I can hardly wait to see the entire picture of God's wonderful creations at some point in my eternal life. I embraced the restored gospel as a young adult and put graduate school on hold to serve a mission for my church. Since my conversion, I have found great joy in raising my family and experiencing a new level of happieness as I see my children raise their children with gentleness and love. After 30 years of professional geology work in the energy industry, I am more convinced of the truth of the gospel and God's plan of happiness. I am a Mormon.

About Me
I love to seek out exotic locations and travel beyond the obvious. My passion is discovering mankind's architectural heritage and I delight in the the beauty of great buildings. My travels have taken me to more than 130 countries around the globe. That's probably why I chose a career at an airline. If I can't always travel myself, I can assist other people every day get to their own special locations. And when I have time, I like to create my own beautiful buildings. Of course they're on a pretty small scale because they're made out of Lego. Yep! I'm 53 years old and I'm still building castles and palaces... It's fun to see the real thing and then re-create it on the living room floor.

- Hi, I'm Rich - People

For 30 years I worked to improve the lives of the mentally ill and I'm a Mormon.
-
-
About Me
Many adults and children who are chronically mentally ill require long term hospitalization, often lasting years. With so many patients and so few therapists only those who were the most likely to recover received treatment. I was part of the movement that helped design group programs that focused on preparing all patients to re-enter the community. As a result, we were able to engage every patient and give them the tools for a future outside of the hospital. Now that I'm retired, my wife and I take every opportunity to visit our five children and 14 grandchildren although most live a considerable distance from our home. Family plays a major role in my life including those who came before me. Finding a link to an ancestor isn't just a matter of dates and places. It's also about who they were and what they did. Their old pictures and family bibles are treasures worth little to the world, but they mean the world to me. I've added my own family pictures to those of my ancestors. Although my grandchildren roll their eyes when they see me with my camera, they always enjoy the photo books I create for them. Thumbing through the pages, they talk about what they were doing and the fun they had. Whether it's family past or family present, we're all eternally connected.

When Kim and I got married, we decided we wanted to have a large family and center our lives on them. We are the parents of 7 children, 6 boys and 1 girl. We also have 10 grandchildren. We spent alot of time at ball parks, music lessons, home schooling, camping trips, service projects, vacations and worship at church. Each of our children have served two year missions for our church all over the world. Each of our sons have attained the rank of Eagle Scout. All have gone on to receive higher education and become productive citizens in their community. I worked in the corporate world for 15 years traveling and moving my family across the USA. My last assignment was managing operations for the 13 western states. We moved our family to Texas 10 years ago to start our own business and now have over 30 employees. An Arizona native, I grew up ranching, farming, playing football and riding bulls when I was young...much younger! I'm a Mormon.
-
-
About Me
I remember when Chandler and Gilbert, Arizona had fewer houses and more cattle...fewer paved roads and more fields of cotton, corn and alfalfa. I remember growing 3,000 acres of cotton in fields loaded with rattlesnakes. I remember raising two young sons raking hay in the middle of the night and watching them grow into the fine men and fathers they are today...watching my daughter grow into a beautiful woman and mother. I'm retired now and I have slowed down a bit but I have a couple of steers and horses in the pasture to remind me of the past...and the only farming I do now is taking care of the yard and the "honey do" list.

About Me
It took over a year to convince my sweet girl friend to marry me. But I hung in there, and marrying her 42 years ago was the smartest thing I've ever done. Then having 3 beautiful children come into our lives was, and still is, the greatest and most rewarding thing I've ever done. Although I must admit, my wife did most the hard work and heavy lifting raising the kids. I was a tall, lanky, 6'6" kid in high school and a pretty decent basketball player. I was fortunate to go on and play some college ball. Great fun. Kept playing church and city league ball well into my late 40's and have also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hiking in these beautiful Idaho mountains. In addition to raising our kids, we got involved in a young man's life when he was about 15. He needed a home and a couple of parents. We were happy to help. He moved in with us and we believe he was seeking a more stable family environment. He has been a great blessing to our entire family. Oh, the joy of grandkids we have 9 and hopefully still counting. They are just plain awesome. All my family above has brought me more laughter, smiles and happiness beyond measure. I am 62, good health, and have been a real estate developer for nearly 35 years. I've loved my carreer. I've enjoyed sports all my life, love to travel, and like being on the go everyday. My wife and I are best friends.
