Hi, I'm David - People

I'm a Mormon. My family & roots are in Texas. I was born in Kentucky when my Dad was building chapels for the church.

About Me

I was born into the church. I was born in Kentucky as my family moved around to different states building chapels for the church while my father served a building mission. The family roots on both sides of the family are from Texas, which is the home we returned to at the end of the mission. I learned to read, write, and speak Spanish while serving a Spanish-speaking mission for the church in the state of Idaho. My wife, Denise, and I have been married for 28 years. We have 6 children (3 boys, 3 girls) & 6 grandchildren. Our #3 daughter, Leanne, left this world a few minutes after she entered it. We look forward to getting better acquainted with her later. She was sealed to us in the temple and will be with us and the rest of the family in the hereafter. 2 of our sons have served in the military: the eldest in the Navy and the Army, the younger in the Marine Corps. Since our youngest has completed his 1st year of college I have found time to resume my 2 favorite hobbies, playing the violin and photography. I have been a police officer for the city of Houston, Texas for 26 years.

Hi, I'm Steve - People

I'm German and Polish, a proud Minnesotan, a genealogist, a publisher, a public speaker, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired genealogist. I enjoy serving others. I grew up in Minnesota, married in Utah, and have returned to my native Minnesota to be with my extended family. I grew up Catholic and converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was nineteen. I respect my Catholic heritage, as it prepared me in my quest for something more. I regard people of all Faiths as my brothers and sisters, as all are children of God. It's great to know there is a God who answers prayers. That led me to the restored gospel. I encourage you to listen to the missionaries and experiment on their words. Life is too short and you will have no regrets. There is much you can do now to further the work of God.

Hi, I'm Pepper - People

I'm a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, a grandma, researcher, trail biker, zumba and yoga enthusiastic, and a LDS - Mormon !

About Me

I was raised on a farm, with a large family, in north central Louisiana. I grew up attending a Baptist Church where a grandfather preached. I found out later that a great-great- grandfather was this churchs' first minister and helped organize it in 1869. My earliest spiritual recollections as a youth included the realizations of a supreme loving being, faith that the scriptures were words of God, and that God heard and answered my prayers. I was grateful for this knowledge while playing high school sports and college basketball which provided many opportunities to learn and equal opportunities to drink or smoke which never made sense enough for me to give it serious thought. What did cause me serious reflections and sadness while still in high school was an unsettling realization that the church I was attending talked of Christ but for all practical purposes visible to me at the time, did not actually live professed beliefs and where some members refuted the divinity of the Savior. As a result, one day I resolved, to find Heavenly Father’s true church. Unbeknownst to my parents (who would drop and pick me up with friends related to sports)I began attending various churches in my small city searching for, to me, Father's church and where I believed he would have me to be. This pattern of searching continued throughout high school, college and into adulthood. In fact, it took 17 years to find it -The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. That was nearly 20 years ago.
