About Me
I am the husband of a wonderful wife, and the father of 2 beautiful, young girls. I was a teacher of English Literature, Speech & Drama, ESL, and Polish, as well as a corporate trainer, an interpreter, and a writer/editor for many years. Having received counseling for compulsive behaviors, and having experienced profound healing in my own life, I made the decision a few years ago to become a Licensed Professional Counselor, in order to help others struggling to overcome addictions. I recently earned a master's degree in counseling, and completed an internship as a substance abuse therapist. It has been an amazing experience, and I have loved EVERY second of it! I truly feel that I have been led to this profession by God, and it is a wonderful feeling to finally have found my calling - professionally speaking.

I'm a hiker, rock climber, and a relationship counselor. My deepest "fun", however, comes because I'm a Mormon.
-
-
About Me
One avenue in which I speak to God is through my time in the outdoors. I enjoy it through clasping the sides of rock faces off the Rocky Mountains, feeling the centripetal force as I carve on my Long board, racing through the pool in a fast paced breast stroke, and capturing the defining moments of life in pictures. I strive to glorify him with all that I am, excelling in all things, even my mind as I struggle through my education seeking age.

About Me
I graduated from HS in North Syracuse N.Y. Employment caused me to live all over the world. Now I call Washington home. I am most at ease in the wilderness and wild places. I love the wilderness mountains, animals, and handguns. I'm close enough to the cities and enjoy the cosmopolitan advantages to indulge my exotic tastes in food and culture. I'm somewhat of an over-educated intellectual w/ credits beyond my Masters Degree from 8 universities.I'm a continual learner and enjoy new experiences and what a song called "lots of pretty thoughts which ain't been thunk." In contrast I have embraced the lifestyles of warrior and cowboy so I'm rather an unconventional combination. I'm a mental health counselor working on a military base. I have also been a Special Education Teacher and School Counselor in 2 states. I was in the USMC during Vietnam era and later an Army Chaplain for 20 years. I have known a life of violence, tragedy, and man's inhumanity to man. Now I'm an independent, loner. Experience has given me a holistic understanding, tolerance, and acceptance of people and joy in simplicity, harmony and beauty. I see true identity of an individual as an offspring of God. Demonstration of faith is an unnatural act but it is also that which gives a purpose or understanding. Vietnam warriors said "it don't mean nothin" when referring to worldly problems. It turns out they were right. The important truths and values are eternal, not worldly.

About Me
I was born in Utah and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. I attended college for one year before getting married. I continued college for a while, but after my second child was born, I dropped out to be a full time mom. My husband and I raised 5 wonderful children. They are the joy of our lives. When my last 2 children were in high school, I started taking college classes again. Over the next 4 years, I took 44 credits of home study courses and additional classes at community colleges in my area. I graduated! When my youngest child finished high school and left for college, I started the road to receiving a master’s degree in Educational Counseling. Two years later I was finished and received an offer for a job as a school counselor. What a thrill! I am now retired and am enjoying being a wife and grandmother. I love hiking, swimming, reading, sewing, crafts, service projects, playing with grandchildren, learning, and visiting historical places like possible Book of Mormon cites. I love music, art, our beautiful world, sunrises, and America. I love people of all sorts and sizes. I love life!

About Me
I'm married to a wonderful lady, Dannielle, and she has put up with me for over 37 years- an amazing feat! We have always been best friends, and our hope and faith is that we can be together, along with our family for eternity. We are blessed with 7 children, and as of today, have 12 awesome grandchildren, with one more on the way. Our family is such a joy to us, and we are grateful for the Church, as it has helped us so much to supplement our efforts to raise our children to be honest, responsible, and faithful people, which they really have become. The youth programs and activities of the Church have helped so much; now our grandchildren are being blessed by the same programs, and we are so proud of their parents, who really do a better job as parents than we did, in many respects. I am lucky in that I love the profession I am in, that of Counseling. From the time that I was able to overcome struggles as a teen with addiction to drugs, I desired to work with people, especially teens, to help them with issues like I had. That's exactly what I am still doing today. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor, working full-time with teens in a Youth Correctional Setting, and I also work one day per week with a substance abuse treatment agency offering substance abuse counseling to community members on an outpatient basis. I love hiking and camping, exploring the outdoors. I am a Disaster Mental Health Volunteer with the Red Cross.

About Me
I grew up amongst the breath taking trees, rivers, streams, and valleys of Oregon and it remains the backdrop of my youth as a boy scout and oldest of 4 siblings. My parents have been married for 40 years and they are my heroes to this day. I moved to Arizona in my early twenties and married a few years later only to experience an unfortunate divorce toward the end of my twenties. I share time with my son and I am happily remarried. My family is complete now with 2 daughters and the majority of my time goes to my beautiful wife and kids. However, when a few rare moments permit, I love to play soccer and racquetball! To make a living, I am a college counselor for a non-denominational Christian university. I have been a counselor for 10 years and I find great joy in helping others find their purpose through an education coupled with Christian principles. I hear many stories every day of people who have overcome great adversity with their faith in Jesus Christ. I really enjoy pointing out that it is that same faith in Christ that will give them the strength they need to rise to the challenge of changing their economic condition with a college education while transcending the human condition with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
