Hi, I'm Christian - People

I work at a dance studio, I like to dance. I like to play baseball. I've lived in China. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Christian. I've been homeschooled all my life, except for one year, when I went to public school. I have 5 siblings; 4 brothers and 1 sister. At the moment one brother is on his mission. When i was very young I did Karate, but I stopped when my family went to China for 3 months, and just never started when I came back. But I still do baseball, plus I've done football and I now dance. I do Jazz and hip-hop.

Hi, I'm Micah - People

I'm 14 years old, I love to run, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am in eighth grade. I run and wrestle for my school. I love to run and have been running since third grade. Last year in seventh grade I got first place with a mile time of 5:19 at the regional districts track meet. I'm also a boy scout and I'm currently at the rank of Life scout. The only thing I have left to do to become Eagle is my Eagle Scout project. My troop is known for going on lots of awesome hikes like climbing Mt. st. Helens, Mt. Adams, hiking on the coast of La push beach and getting lost in the Yakima desert. I am in the process of going vegan. I was just released as the Deacon's Quorum President for our ward and I am now a Teacher.

Hi, I'm Jordan Michael - People

My parents say I'm a miracle, I say I'm small & mighty. I have a family who loves me, I love lacrosse & football and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Colorado, with a great mom and dad who love me and care for me! I also have two brothers and one older sister, who also care about me. The hobbies that I like include playing football, basketball, lacrosse and even sometimes swimming. During my free time at home my brothers and I like to play football and play board games and if we get the chance we sometimes wrestle. When I was born I was born with athsma and 22q Deletion, a genetic defect in the 22nd chromosome. Sometimes kids with 22q deletion don’t make it through the early stage of life and they die because of heart defects and other problems. I was born with heart problems, breathing problems and without the roof of my mouth (my pallette). I was on oxygen and had to be tube fed for the first years of my life. I had several operations and priesthood blessings. When I was a one year old the doctors operated to close my pallette. The doctors told my parents that I would not run or be able to play like other kids. But with my and father's care, the love of my family and priesthood blessings I better now. This is my time to shine and show the doc that I made it through. My name is Jordan Michel Lowder and I'm small but mighty!

Hi, I'm David Rivera - People

I have just recently turned 18, I happen to love riding horses and im big into photography. And Im A Mormon.

About Me

I have been a member for about 6 years. it seems like a long time but when i look back it doesn't play out like that. i was about 7 years old and after many long hard years of abuse, i was moved to my aunts house hold where she was a member. at that point i went to church because she did. i know that most people are brought to the church by the book of mormon but i wasn't. i was about 12 when i was watching those young guys passing around the sacrament, at that point i didn't know what they were doing and i didn't know the meaning behind the sacrament. I got to think about how i wanted to be them ( them being deacons) i decided that i was going to get baptized. 1 thing i didn't understand that in order for you to be a deacon you had to be a member, then i decided that yes i needed to be baptized. i was baptized by a good buddy of mine.

Hi, I'm Doug - People

I'm 38 years old, married, the father of 5 children, a business executive, and an Assistant Scout Master. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I are California natives. We grew up together in a small suburban town just east of San Diego, California. We weren't romantically interested in each other until I returned home from my first year of college. The first time I saw her after I returned was at the high school graduation ceremonies in our small town. We hadn't seen each other for over a year so I hugged her. But when I put my arms around her my tongue went numb and the hairs on the back of my neck stood on end. I knew she was the one. The only challenge that stood in my way was convincing HER that I was the one. We were married a little over a year later. I was 20 and she was 21. We will have been married 18 years this January (2011). We have 5 beautiful children ranging in age from 3 to 17. I recently sold my I.T. business and now work for the company that bought it. I have worked in the IT field since 1995 after a good friend and church member offered me an opportunity to teach Windows 95 to companies all over the Country. Having worked construction for nearly 6 years the chance to work with computers and make a better living was a real blessing in our lives. I am currently serving as the Deacon's Quorum advisor and the Assistant Scoutmaster in my ward. I am fortunate to be working with my eldest son who became a Deacon this past August. We really enjoy the time we spend together on Sundays, in weekday quorum activities, and on Scout camp outs and outings.

Hi, I'm Greg LeCheminant - People

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 62 years old. I am married to Denise Hamblin. This year we will have been married for 40 years. We have been blessed to have 6 children, all married, and 15 beautiful grand children. I am currently semi-retired. My first two careers had me working in finance for a large oil company for nearly 20 years and my second career was directing a nursing and rehab center for 13 years. We ended up in Arizona because my wife's family all lived Arizona and it was only fair that, after she followed me all around the country for my work, that we should settle closer to her family. My semi-retirement has opened up my third career-- real estate. I couldn't just sit around doing nothing. And we aren't so well off that we can just live off of interest. So we have purchased rental homes. I do all the work on them, which is a lot more than one would expect. I grew up in the Los Angeles area with my parents and two brothers. We had a good family. In my youth I enjoyed sports of all kinds. But the sports I excelled at the most were swimming and water polo. At this point in my life my body doesn't always let me do all the things that I would like to do, but my goal is to work out 5 hours each week, doing cycling, swimming, and weight lifting. I also like to play racquetball whenever I can pick up a match. We have 4 of our 6 children and their families living nearby. And we like to join in family activities whenever we can.

Hi, I'm Stephen Hite - People

I've lived in Arizona most my life, and I'm used to the heat. I'm in high school, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a young teenager, and I recently finished my freshman year. Public school is a new thing for me; I had been going to a charter school until high school. It isn't much different, going from charter to public, just much bigger and less strict. I have been playing the piano since I was eight, and I recently bought a guitar that I just mess around on. I am in a weights class, and I like being active. There is a state park just minutes from my house, and I like to go hiking and mountain biking. I have actually been on two major hikes down the Grand Canyon with friends. They are very demanding, both mentally and phsically, but I enjoy it a lot. In junior high, I played basketball and one year of flag football. It was fun, and I played in the games plenty, but of course it was in a charter school so didn't have many players. I wasn't the best player, so I didn't continue sports this year, but like I mentioned, I had fun. This last year, I had four honor classes. That meant a LOT of homework that took some dedication. I made it through with good grades though, and I was able to learn a lot of new ways of thinking. I wouldn't profess to love school or homework, like most kids, but looking back I'd say that it had been a good experience.

Hi, I'm Chris - People

I live in Arizona, U.S, I currently go to high school, I hope to be a violinist when I grow up, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well i currently go to high school and I'm a very strong member in the LDS Church. I enjoy playing the piano and violin and I'm on the swim team for my high school. my favorite subject i like to read or talk about, concerning the Church, is life after death and what is to happen before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. I've read many books and many of the scriptures pertaining to those subjects. I also like to read about the pre- existence and what it was like before. If you too are interested in these subjects I highly recommend these books: Life Everlasting by Duane S. Crowther, and Prophecy key to the future also by Duane S. Crowther. You can find these books in the Desert Bookstore, but if you are an investigator and just started looking into what we believe i would start in the scriptures first and learning the basics first!

Hi, I'm Braxton - People

I am in high school in southern Arizona, but was raised mostly in Utah. I have one LDS sister and one brother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I broke my thumb in January of 2012 playing soccer, which is my favorite sport. I was goal-keeper, and made a dive, landed on my thumb, and ended up shattering it. I did save the ball, though. When I broke my thumb, it was about 5 minutes into the second half, and I didn't sub out after it happened, so it hurt for longer than it needed to. I appreciate my friends, and I am glad to have them in my life. I have been told by all of them one time or another that I am too nice, which I honestly don't get. I went to college for a little while, was a full time student but went back to a full time high school student. I am doing very well in my classes, and I hope to one day become a surgeon or neurologist, or an orthodontist.
